Early game thread

But I just asked you questions to determine if it "defied logic" or not. How often has something like that happened is a direct correlation to "natural and normal results." If it happens every year then it's typical. How do you know it's a-typical without knowing how rare it is?

Fair enough, and I don’t know the answers to your questions. I’m sure there is a database somewhere that can be mined to provide the answers. The only thing I will say is that the national media, not just the local media, was reporting & talking about it so it would seem empirically that it was not a normal or common occurrence even factoring in that it involved the Cowboys.

I remember the media talking about it. I'm just surprised that none of them ran the numbers to say just how rare it was. It would have been a great story to combine with the Elliott thing going on and Jerry supposedly upset at Goodell. That's what tells me that it's probably not so rare.

All the games are important when you are 3-4. But a win won't accomplish a lot more than moving up in the standings. Think back to the Jaguars game. Did that mean a lot? Not really but it sure got a lot of people excited for no reason.
This has just eclipsed the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard. This is what happens to folks that are consumed by hate. They become blinded. Unable with the capacity to reason. Sad.
