Early Games Thread **merged**

How was Devonte Freeman vs Skins two weeks ago not a TD but this one was????

The NFL don't care about that. They only want to entertain you.

Remember, Blandino is a spawn of the mafia and is watching the lines in Vegas, on Fan Duel, and on Draftkings.

It has been horrible. No way is that a td if you go by the stupid rule.

The rule states a player has to be going to the ground and maintain the ball through the contact of the ground. Didn't appear on the first replay I saw that Tate was going to the ground.

Anybody watching Commanders' game? I am stuck watching Jets-Commanders since I am in New York but their Offensive Line looks good against a decent Jets defense in the first half. Not sure if they can keep it up in second half but so far Commanders look good.

it sure fooled Mike Pereira, guess you know the rule book more than he does

The best thing the NFL can do is get rid of the modern day equivalent of Gazoo on the Jetsons, Mike Pereira. He adds absolutely nothing to the game and was the first one to pipe up about Dez's non catch. I still think he influenced that call.

They just showed the replay again and it didn't appear Tate had complete control of the ball. The ball came out very quickly it didn't look like he had it secured. He's definitely not going to the ground during the catch.

He isn't going to the ground, but he also doesn't appear to have established himself as a runner, either.

According to Dean Blandino, Tate became a runner he was in the process of making his third step therefor possession was established and he confirmed he wasn't going to the ground on the play.

According to Blandino he did establish himself as a runner because he was in the process of taking his third step.
