Question:

The QB does a toss to the RB, who then does a toss to the WR coming back the other way. The QB is leading the WR. We've seen Dallas do this.

Since the QB is now a blocker, can the defenders blast the QB? And why wouldn't teams double down on the QB during these types of plays and break the QB?
