Early on I think 3 UDFAs have a real shot to make

the roster.

As I mentioned, it's early days, but thus far I think that

D Bailey is leading the FG kicking competition. Maybe we keep two kickers (Buehler for kickoffs), but I think Bailey has a real shot to be the FG kicker.

R Radway has a good shot at the roster as well, imo. Clearly, after Miles, Dez, and Ogletree it's a wide open competition. I would guess Harris makes the roster as well. So that's 4.

But I think that Radway may offer the Cowboys some upside that the other wideouts don't necessarily offer. Specifically, his pure speed and massive frame (around 6' 3"). We'll have to see how he fares on STs, but he's another big wideout - the type the Cowboys seem to really like. If he's even with the veteran fringe guys, you probably go with the youth because of his upside.

Lastly, A Albright has a shot at LB. I think he's probably less likely than Bailey, for example, if I were to rank the probability.

But it would not be surprising for the Cowboys to keep 9 LBs on the roster.
Again, I think it will come down to STs play.

Finally, at RB, I am currently giving the edge to Miller rather than Tanner for the moment. That's mostly based on Miller's experience. But, I suppose if Choice is made redundant, that Tanner could also make it as an UDFA as well. But right now I'm leaning towards Miller if it comes down to that.

In any case, whether we keep only 2 or 3 UDFAs (or more), given the lack of time these guys have had with no mini-camps, etc., it's an excellent haul.

Bailey - I agree. I don't see Garrett getting rid of a guy that can consistently put points on the board when called upon. The question is whether Beuhler is kept as well. Maybe the other UDFA kicker can do both jobs and he makes it.

Radway - I'm not so sure. We hear about guys like him every year and most of the time they don't show up in preseason games and their hype starts to fade. Sometimes they still get cut in hopes of landing on the practice squad. The only way I see Radway making it is if he stands out in preseason games, can play special teams, and they decide they don't need Holley covering kicks. I don't think they keep 6 WRs and the first 4 are locks. Austin, Bryant, Ogletree, Harris.

Albright - Has a chance for sure. Must show up in preseason games and play special teams. Has to beat out Brandon Williams decisively because they may feel they can slip him to the practice squad.

There's always a dark horse in the UDFA race.

My guess is OT Jose Acuna, who we haven't heard a word about.

He got our biggest UDFA bonus this year: $6,500.

So I'm guessing he may be a practice squad developmental guy.

We're thin enough at OL that we'll see a lot of him in the preseason, for good or bad.

Albright and Bailey have the best chance.

I wasn't that enamored with this undrafted rookie class but it's looking like we may have found a couple of players yet again.

best thing about this preseason is that romo, dez, and miles already knoew the offense

so mcgee, and the rookies and FAs will get a real shot

i am pumped
