Amari Cooper had a good career in Dallas. Spring forward to the addition of Cooks, who do you think will have the better Dallas Career? It was sad to see Coop go, but we're happy to have Cook's here, who has had multiple 1,000 yard receiving seasons. Please give your thoughts.

Coop vs Lamb would be my first thought because they are their teams #1, I dont think you can expect Cooks to give the numbers Coop had if Lamb is healthy.

They have eerily similar careers statistically. Both 1-1100 yard WR’s who are best as a 1b rather than a true 1.

Cooks lack of size is where Coop gets the edge but Cooks is a dog mentality guy while Coop’s aggression comes and goes.

To me I take Cooks because although I love Coop’s play style, his lack of consistent alpha body language and aggression were getting on my nerves.

You give Coop the competitive mentality that Dez had and you have a HOFer. Instead Coop will end his career as a Hall of Very Good type guy.

I believe there is a hidden question here which might be more relevant than what the OP asked.

Which player - Cooper or Cooks - will offer the best opportunities for Cee Dee to thrive at a level where he should be in regard to his immense talent?

Now that question has a flaw in that Cee Dee was still acclimating to the NFL, and he has a different role now. But my opinion is Cee Dee will set the bar this season far above what he has done while on this team and in this league thus far.

What factors in for me is Cooks attitude. I do not have anything in the way of evidence to back up this statement, but I believe Amari Cooper paved his way out of Dallas because of his attitude. Not a TO type of boisterous buffoon, but perhaps a locker room cancer that didn't really show up in the press. I am only speculating. But in the final analysis Jerry was the one to jettison Cooper for what ever Scotch fueled nightmare Jerry concocted. And last year's results lie at the feet of Jerry Jones.

Cooks is a pro's pro, and brings a different demeanor to the table. I think he will be a real plus to the team, and a perfect Robin to Cee Dee's Batman - I despise myself for even making that analogy.

I like Cook. His history of concussions is a worry, however. If he can avoid that, he is a excellent compliment to CD Lamb.

If we are talking about overall Cowboys careers I'd take Cooper and not think twice. Cooks is a quality receiver but is an undersized player entering year 10 of his career and has an out on his contract after this season. It's possible that he is one and done as a player in Dallas as he will likely be looking for one last big payday and I'm not sure the Cowboys are in a position to make that happen as they have a long list of guys to lock up this coming offseason.

Size matters. Coop has no concussion history. The funny things is a real GM would have had both and Lamb in relatively easy plan. Cooper was signed, Lamb is still on the rookie deal, and a low round trade for Cook would have been easy to make.

Jerry Dumbo GM Jones. Nuff Said.

Cooper arrived in 2018, and was traded after the 2021 season. Based on Cooks history, I’ll be surprised if he’s here more than two seasons. Cooper had three 1000 yard seasons while he was in Dallas. With CeeDee as our number one I doubt Cooks will surpass what Amari did with the Cowboys.

Cooks vs Cooper?

Cooks and cooper go head to head? Odd.

Don't get me wrong....I like stats. They tell a story.

But only a PART of it. Stats also lie.

Can we just enjoy the team we have now?

Cooks will underachieve as both Dez and Coop did and do not expect him back next season.

Is it asking too much for 2 guys to have 1000 yard seasons? Hell he may have a better year than Ceedee

It's not asking too much, and I suspect he will get 1k this season. History is on his side if you look at his numbers over the years. If your talking career in Dallas though I don't believe Cooks will have the longevity to match Cooper. He's older and unfortunately father time catches all burners sooner or later.

Cooper’s contract was designed specifically so they could walk away from it after 2 seasons. Lamb’s clear emergence as a #1 WR solidifies doing so as the 100% correct decision. Genius roster manipulation in the salary cap era!
