I agree with all but 7 and 11. I do not think tanner will get a chance to show much because felix and murray will stay healthy all season. I believe Austin will stay healthy and have a good year.

I predict Dallas will make it to the NFC Championship Game. I think they are more likely to lose it than to win it. However if they do win it then they will win the Super Bowl. I think they're very close and perhaps another year away from a Super Bowl victory.

I say this because Dallas has upgraded its starting talent in most if not all areas that they needed to. And they finally have adequate depth too, and the coaching is solid. The roster and coaching staff is now balanced with the right leadership mix. Add that to the level of talent and Dallas has the makings of a Championship calliber team.

Many here will not like my prediction because they are too tied to their personal agendas. That's a shame, but it's unfortunately true.

I'm torn in regards to the upcoming season. I think we have the talent (yea, there's that word again) and have made sufficient improvements to win the East and fare well in the playoffs, barring catastrophic injuries. However, I hate to get my hopes up when I've been disappointed so many times over the past few years. Overall, I really have no idea how well we'll do this year. I think we could go anywhere from 12-4 to 7-9 and I wouldn't be surprised with any record in between. If I had to guess right now, I'd say 10-6 with a chance at 11-5.

1. Dez Bryant will have 1,000 yards this season and will be the #1 guy.
I think this is expected by the team, media and fans

2. Romo will have a bad game and dumb fans will be wanting Orton.
Romo can have one bad play, and the fans will want Orton

3. Felix Jones will stay healthy and create a starting RB controversey.
I think Jones will be used the way he should be used. We now have a true starter at RB, no use to mess that up.

4. Brodney Pool will turn out to be better than people expected.
I agree

5. We beat the Giants by 2 touchdowns on opening night.
this will be great

6. Phil Costa will be the starting center and will be very erratic.
I am afraid you will be right, let's hope for something better

7. Phillip Tanner will be a letdown at Rb.
Only if you call a let down, not bein on the team, I think Scott makes the team over Tanner

8. Morris Claiborne will exceed all expectations.
Agree, but to what expectations, to be Deion, or to be better than Newman

9. Kevin Ogletree will be released.
I can live with this

10. Sean Lee makes the pro bowl.
agree

11. The Injury bug stays with Miles Austin.
If it does, then #1 should come true even more so

12. John Phillips finally sees the field for extended periods and impresses.
Only because Marty b is gone, but still will impress

13. Mike Jenkins stays with the Cowboys and plays very well.
I think so too

14. The Cowboys finish the season 10-6 and In the playoffs.
10-6 sounds about right, even though for now 8-8 until they show me they can get to 10-6

15. The offensive line will still be a problem and Romo will play banged up
Until shown otherwise, agree

Appreciate your opinions. I'd go along with your outlook, but I slightly differ on:

5. We beat the Giants by 2 touchdowns on opening night.
I say (am certainly hoping) we will win, but I doubt it will be by 2 touchdowns.

7. Phillip Tanner will be a letdown at Rb.
I don't know that he'll even have the opportunity to make a significant impact, but as our RB3 I don't think he'll be a "letdown."

8. Morris Claiborne will exceed all expectations.
Subject to what the "expectations" are, and I think they are/will be very high, I'm thinking he'll do a good job as a rookie, overall, but he won't likely be his best until his 2nd or 3rd season in the NFL, IMO.

9. Kevin Ogletree will be released.
Not so sure about that, just yet. He hasn't exactly lit it up in his career so far, but I'll wait until after TC to judge him an out 'n' out failure deserving of being cut.

11. The Injury bug stays with Miles Austin.
No way we can know what will happen. I understand the concern. Hope you're wrong and the injury bug stays away from Miles this season. Sure would love to see him playing at his healthy best. Who can know for sure until we see how it goes?

13. Mike Jenkins stays with the Cowboys and plays very well.
I'd bet you're right that Mike Jenkins stays with the Cowboys and I'm really hoping he will play very well. I honestly don't know what to expect right now. Hope we are given more reason to be hopeful after TC and the preseason games have played out.

All the rest, I'd have to agree with you right now ... hoping for better in some cases, but having no particular reason to think so at this point.

9-7 and only if the following happen:
1. The defence has got to come to play each game. This means by the numbers you are in the top 10 in yds allowed; top 10 in points allowed; top 10 in goal line stand; and hold opponents to less than 21 points a game.

2. The offense owns the time of position of 30 something each game; percentage of red zone touch downs better than 60%;lead league in least amount of turn overs; lead league in less amount of penalties; and score at minimum 27 points a game.

for 10-6 season we need to beat our division opponents and split the wins with each one.

For anything higher we have to own our division in wins.

Looking at the past 5 years we have not come close except the 13-3 season and we where lucky with no injuries and a very weak schedule.

9-7 and out of the playoffs:(

I have concerns about Mike Jenkins and his shoulder. I think he is going to be very tentative with his shoulder about hitting people. He has never been a great hitter and the length of his rehab to me indicates that this injury is going to linger. Throw in the fact that he is rehabbing on his own and his attitude just makes me nervous about him. I hope I'm wrong because he has played well most of the time and would give us a pretty good secondary. We'll see....

By seasons end I will have eaten 10.8 large pizzas during the games.
:)

Only 10.8? That's the problem with this team; there are too many underachievers. ;)

Lemme guess ... you've predicted numerous multi-million dollar lotteries also.

:bang2:

1. Dez explodes and leads the NFC in recieving. All the Dez haters on CZ magically dissapear.

2. Murray becomes the 1st Cowboys runningback to have a 1,000 yard season since Julius Jones.

3. Romo plays all 16 games.

4. Calibourne leads all rookies in interceptions.

5. Cowboys win the NFC East.

The first bad pass Romo has in pre-season will have some yelling for Orton. It is a tradition in Dallas for the fans to turn on the starting QB and cry for the backup...

Dude, I think the odds are NOT with you on this! Have you checked the last few seasons? Just saying.

My prediction, most of these Cowboy "fans" will continue to bash you for thinking anything positive

Wow. I agree with everything in the OP, with the exception that I'm split on hoe the OL eventually turns out.

I think we're gonna whoop NY opening weekend, too. Though nothing surprises me in that series anymore.
