Early scenarios on how we can win the NFC

A lot of games left but I was looking at the standings we can lose once and still guaranteed #1 seed in the NFC. If the Seahawks win out they can only get to 13-2-1 we'd be 14-2. If we lose twice only the Seahawks can beat us by winning out or only the Giants can tie us at 13-3 out of the entire NFC so in that scenario the Giants win out so they beat us then they'd be 2-0 vs us and they'd win the tiebreaker. Commanders have a tie and 3 losses so they can only get to 12-3-1 every other team has 4 or more losses so they can only get to 12 wins as well so it'd take at least 3 losses for them to catch us.

So 6-1 guarantees us the NFC, 5-2 gives us the NFC unless Giants or Seahawks win out, then it gets iffy if we're 4-3 or worse.

I think 12-4 wins it. I expect the Seahawks will go no better than 5-2. And I think the Giants will do worse than that.

Post like this only remind me of how long it has been since this team has been in a SB. lol

It use to be few even talked about this stuff until after Thanksgiving then you looked at the land scape of what needed to be done over the last 6 games.

Probably right but if we lose 3 there's other teams that can win out and tie us: Atlanta, Arizona, Minnesota, Detroit, Philly. But again it's probably unlikely any of those teams wins out.

We're 0-0 facing the Ravens....

Let's make it 1-0 & go from there

I know some people are very supersticious I'm not one of them. I don't see a problem talking about how many games we need to win to win the NFC. We're not the players on the field we're just fans discussing scenarios. We're in a great position to win the NFC unless things go south for us as in losing record for the rest of our games.

I'm not supersticious either....

But all the greats, no matter the sport...focus on the moment, not the future.....if you look ahead, then you're not concentrating on the moment

A great what? Poster? lol. I guess I'm not a great poster then. I'm not a football player so I can't be great at that. Just talking about how we can get the #1 seed, if you don't want to participate for whatever reason there's plenty of other topics on this board.

The NFL used to have good teams in it. This year it is a joke.

How bout a fan then? h
How about focusing on the Ravens, that gets us to 9-1.....

All these "what if's" are just hot flipping air

You're wrong about fan superstition having an impact on the games. I found my Cowboys socks after game one and have worn them every game day since (washing them is taboo). I last wore them in the 2014 season and they got us 12wins. So far this year, we're undefeated (starting in week two when I first wore them). :)

What difference does it make on what me or you focus on? We're not on the field. It doesn't matter if we focus on the next game or 1,000 games it makes no difference. You can focus on the Ravens 24/7 but you don't have any say on if the team wins the game or not, if you think you do you're delusional.

Yeah, Craig's right. I went to NFL.com and saw that the 2016 teams were 2-13 against their 2015 counterparts this year. Not only THAT, but the 2016 were 1-17 against their 2014 counterparts.

Dallas in particular performed badly against its 2014 self losing 26-3. The 2014 Bailey missed an extra point. Believe it or not.

Now against their 2006 counterparts, NFL teams were....

hold on, what?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
