By the way, having celebrities (especially young actors who have little life experiences beyond school and acting) as spokespeople for a cause , doesn't bode well with us "average folks" ......

LOL, because everybody turning things off for an hour is going to "save the planet". I'll leave that to the big guys who are finding alternative energy sources who dedicate their careers to research. This is just a bunch of celebrities trying to make themselves look good.

Leaving aside the whole "man impacted" side of the argument which would descend into political bickering. Rather than once a year turning everything off for an hour and feeling you're doing your bit would you not make more of a difference if you tried to minimise your energy use throughout the year?

Sort of on topic, I'm really starting to be an old man about the power bill. Turn the lights off when you're not using them and don't leave the door open when the AC is going etc., all that electricity costs money haha.

well the event is over. be sure to find an article regarding earth hour on tomorrows newspaper. i know i had a great time and looking forward to next year.
