Jerry has to make that his mantra this offseason.
I am a die hard, but last night I think I died. I just reamed other so-called "fans" for hoping for a loss or quitting on a team, but now I find myself not even caring about the offseason, much less next season. I can't even imagine caring enough to watch.
BUT--You can bring me back to life Jerry, and only you...
You have to make moves in the off-season that will ease the pain. You have to bring hope back to life. The entire organization--fans, coaches, players--don't believe anymore.
That means, big changes! Signing and drafting players does not count. 2 of the following at MINIMUM:
Everybody pick your favorites!
1) Fire Wade--hire a firey young coach.
2) fire garrett
3) hire a co-offensive coordinator for garrett
4) fire stewart, reid, houck, wilson--get romo an experienced QB coach and have him work with him all offseason
5) Cut or trade T.O.
6) Cut or let go Roy Williams (s), Zach Thomas, Burnett, Carpenter, Canty, Bowen, Brown, Proctor, Tank, Curtis
7) Cut Pacman
8) hire a GM or let Steven take over
9) Cut or trade Ellis
And, if you make two of those moves or preferably more, here's some player moves you can think about. BUT NOT UNLESS the above is done. Otherwise, who cares!?!
1) Move Henry to safety, have him compete with Hamlin for starting job and draft a starting SS to play competing with Keith Davis (one of our few warriors)
2) Sign backups or starters in FA who are veterans with playoff winning experience--no big names! no prima donnas!
3) Ask Parcells if he will trade us back Ayodele and Ferguson for their draft picks back (these are the types of FA we need)
4) Promote McQuisitan or Free to starter over Flo, or declare it an open battle
5) Draft a high center, 3rd round, or sign a solid one--declare Gurode's an open battle
