@jonmachota: DT Dominique Easley on Cowboys visit: "I didn't actually meet Jerry Jones...but I got a real good vibe from them." http://t.co/RqUj1i0tE4

I'm a fan of us drafting this guy in the second round if possible and I'd trade up to do it if needed. I'd even CONSIDER him in the late first(too risky with the injuries) if we traded way down as an emergency pick if the better options are gone. The injuries are scary and I'm not big fan drafting injured players, especially THIS injured for the most part but he has top 5 prospect talent and his medicals officially check out.

Thoughts? Would you rather just avoid him?

I like him a lot especially the way he gets off the snap and I would consider him in round 2 especially if I could move down a few spots and collect an extra pick or two. The injuries scare me though because he's already blown both knees out in non-contact situations.

My TOP 2nd round choice. And, I too, wouldn't have a problem if we traded down into the latter part of round 1 and chose him there. But, I'm hoping to land him in the 2nd. He shouldn't read anything into not meeting JJ. Melton didn't meet with JJ either and we signed him. Hoping this pattern repeats itself.

Agreed, a draft prospect not meeting the owner isn't a big deal at all, even though he's also the GM. He's also my top choice in the second round, easily unless someone unexpectedly falls. The risk factor is much less in the second round. Anyone really regret taking Sean Lee there? He's been injured a lot but he's had a huge impact as well.

I like him but think he can be had in the third round.

I'm not so sure I agree with that especially since he checked out medically. He is going mid 2nd or high 2nd IMO. As a Gator fan I'm a huge fan of his and would love him in a Cowboys uniform. Shoot when was the last time Dallas drafted a Gator? Anyone after Emmitt??

ACL in each knee already scares me.....................both ACLs were non contact also, so that is even a bigger red flag.

I think I pass unless my board got totally wiped out and he was all that was left in the 2nd round.

I think there will be a team in the late first that takes a chance on him especially since they're good enough to have made the playoffs so they can afford a risk like that. I'd be surprised if he made it to our second, I'd trade up in the second to get him unless they know he will fall somehow.

If he's there at #47, you consider him. But no way do you trade up for the guy.

He will be gone, maybe in the first. Maybe to us in the first.

Make likely though he'll be the pick at 47, or maybe we'll use a 7th or 6th to jump in front of Pitt in the 2nd to 45.

I'm tired of these guys with injury histories, sorry no thanks I'll pass!

I don't understand how a player with consecutive ACL tears checks out medically. Perhaps the most recent injury is healing but he still carries a huge injury risk.

Was the best DT in college football before getting hurt. High risk/High reward type of pick. Personally, I wouldn't do it in the 1st if I'm the Cowboys. But I could see a team like NE, SF or Seattle rolling the bones. Would love him in the 2nd.
