Former Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams struggled with accuracy at times during the East-West Shrine Game practice week, but when the lights came on Saturday at Tropicana Field, Adams couldn't have been much more on target. The diminutive transfer fired first-half touchdown passes to three different receivers -- to Colorado State's Kivon Cartwright, Purdue's Danny Anthrop, and Illinois'Geronimo Allison -- to lead the West to a 29-9 win over the East.

"He can play in the NFL. Somebody's going to give him an opportunity to do that. Now whether he makes it or not, it's up to him. He has all those things that the great ones have. He gets better as the game goes on," said Shrine West coach June Jones.

Was really disappointed in this years game. Sure seems like the talent level just gets worse each season. Really think the game suffers when all these under classmen declare.....then aren't allowed to play. In all honesty....I wouldn't draft a single guy from that game....but I'm sure a few will like Hargrave or Adams....but the pickins are really slim. Thought the NFLPA game had alot more draftable prospects.:)

I gained an appreciation for the RB from Illinois Ferguson. He might be Dunbar size but he has lots more fight, late round talent to add to our menu.
If some of you do not know who the RB from La Tech is you should take a gaze, Dixon is his name and he is a talent. Mid round(maybe late 2nd, 3rd early) with great hands and speed/vision.
