Let me know your thoughts here. Before I get killed for the Parsons pick. He had the second highest run defensive grade in college his last year. That alone makes me ok with this pick.

Only way I take Parsons is if I have to. Meaning Sewell, Slater, Surtain and Horn are all gone. And if they are that means one of the QB’s fell and someone will want to trade with us. Or Pitts will be there. I just don’t see a scenario where he is the pick at 10

Looks great! Why would you get killed for the Parsons pick? He’s the best defender in the draft and addresses our biggest weakness.

The weird thing is, if you take Surtain in the 1st it grades it as a D+

Surtain has sneaky good ball hawking skills if that is what you ask him to do. Sure tackler too. At bama they didnt ask him to do that. They used him as a cover guy almost exclusively. I think he fits any scheme and can do whatever you need him to do.

Surtain will make the back 7 better because Diggs will get thrown at more and get more chances at turnovers. It could work in reverse too. Diggs could prove to be a cover guy and make teams throw at Surtain. We will be tested.

I'm not Parsons biggest fan, but I really like this.

Three instant impact players on defense with the first three picks. And then a few other awesome picks in a row--Gowan, Darden, Tonga. Big fan.

Gotta say, I'm warming up to picking Parsons....

Don’t mind the Parsons pick, but don’t like Campbell, don’t like the Tackle and no safety.

No to Parsons at 10 for me. Not huge on Campbell either. The rest is ok, but nothing great.

It's got nothing to do with Parsons - it's that the value of the pick is wasted by taking a player at that position.
Picking up Luke Kuechly isnt a waste in my opinion. You draft for talent and hes the most talented player on defense in the draft

You draft for talent at impact positions early. You have to because that's how top teams separate themselves. Keuchly isn't a good pick in 2021, 10 years ago was fine.

Imagine thinking upgrading our linebacking corps isnt making an impact. After watching our linebackers whiff and chase down the opposing team 20 yards the opposite way.

The point is that you can upgrade them in later rounds.

LBers just need to be in the right spot, that's not that hard to find.

If you aren't taking offense at 10, namely WRs or TEs like Pitts, Future likely will hate the pick.
