How do you guys see the west shaping out, here is my order

1. Lakers
2. Hornets
3. Jazz
4. Spurs
5. Rockets
6. Phoenix
7. Denver
8. Dallas

Of course that would be if my prayers were answered most likely though it would be

1. Lakers
2. Hornets
3. Spurs
4. Jazz
5. Rockets
6. Phoenix
7. Denver
8. Dallas

1. Lakers
2. Hornets
3. Spurs
4. Jazz
5. Rockets
6. Suns
7. Mavs
8. Nuggets

The Jazz will have homecourt in 1st round by virtue of 2-1 series record vs. Rockets if both finish with identical records.

If the Suns also finish with the same record, the Rockets would have the tiebreaker by virtue of their conference record (the Rockets and Suns split their season series).

I say the Mavs finish 7th because I'm assuming the Lakers and Hornets clinch the #1 and #2 seeds tomorrow night, so there would be no advantage for the Hornets to play their starters the whole game on the second half of a back-to-back.

But nothing would surprise me at this point. Especially if it means playing the Hornets in round one, it would make a good statement if the Mavs won Wednesday night (and at home).

the spurs cant be the 4th seed unless PHX loses a game, if i am not mistaken.

we will either be the 2, 3, or 6 seed, based on the events of the next two evenings.

Well, Hornets win to clinch the Southwest Division title and at least the #2 seed. Lakers playing now - a win clinches the top seed and a number two seed for New Orleans.

Lakers now up by 25 with one quarter still left to play, at home... congrats, Lakers.

This now locks up the top two spots with one day left in the regular season.
