For the third time this year, Tony Romo is a finalist for the FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week award. Maybe he can actually win it one of these times.
Romo passed for 256 yards and three touchdowns in a blowout win over Seattle. Romo now has eight TD passes and no picks in his last three games.
But Romo has been nominated twice already for this award and hasn’t received enough votes. This week won’t be easy either as Brett Favre and Donovan McNabb are the two finalists. Favre just went back to Lambeau Field to beat his old Packers team with four touchdown passes in arguably the story of the year in the NFL.
But hey, maybe you guys are sick of that played-out storyline.
Fans can vote on NFL.com until Thursday. They can also vote on the Running back portion of the award. This week’s finalists are Chris Johnson, Maurice Jones-Drew and Ryan Moats.
If Romo wins, $1,000 will go towards the Safe Kids Coalition in Dallas.
