At the first of August, few Cowboys fans had ever heard of Kevin Ogletree. But the end of training camp three weeks later, he was the biggest news of camp, other than maybe Martellus Bennett or the Jenkins/Scandrick saga.
And then the regular season comes and Ogletree hasn’t been active for one game.
Well, maybe it’s time to change that. With Roy Williams banged up with a bruised ribs, there’s a chance he may not play Sunday in Kansas City.
If so, expect the Cowboys to activate Ogletree, who might be able to provide a little speed and quickness that has been lacking with this receiving corps.
Then again, Williams could end up being ready to play. If you remember that practice at the Cowboys Stadium when he injured his shoulder, it was looking like a possible season-ending injury. Instead, it was a bruise and he returned to practice next week.
So maybe these ribs heal pretty fast, too. If not, Ogletree will be staying ready.
