ARLINGTON, Texas – In the book of football clichés, you always hear “everything starts up front.”

So let’s start there. Unfortunately, that’s where it ends as well for the Cowboys.

This offensive line might have started off well, but by the end, that’s where this game was lost for the Cowboys. And that’s strange to say because we entered this season still thinking this O-line was an elite group that would handle their personnel changes with ease.

So far after four games, this unit has not only been handled twice, resulting in two losses, but didn’t look overly impressive in the other two outings as well.

This is becoming a problem, and it’s the reason the Cowboys were on the wrong side of a 35-30 shootout here at AT&T Stadium.

This is exactly where our problems lie on offense. Pocket is not holding up this year for whatever reason. Do we need to put Collins at LG and Green at RT? That is what I am thinking since it is there more natural positions.
Other than that, some of the offense problems is that we run a very basic offense, one that is predictable. We just dare defenses to beat us. And finally, when Dez is in there either the coordinator or Dak tries way too hard to get him the ball when we have capable guys other than Dez. Throw to whoever is open regardless of who it is.

Couple the poor line play with a QB that for some reason just does not seem comfortable in the pocket and you have a 2-2 team. Granted, there is a long laundry list of reasons why this team is 2-2, but these two main issues are pretty glaring at this point because they were not issues last year.

Are teams attacking the zone blocking scheme in a diff manner? Teams had a offseason to study and adapt.........even Garrett could adapt in that time period.

Can we steal Callahan back from the Commanders?

Now we are 'rebuilding' the line without him...

I'd flip them too.

But we have a stubborn front office and coaching staff.

Collins back to OG and Green to RT. That being said, Green can't stay healthy so maybe Collins at RT is going to hold because they view the RT as a more important position and can't trust Green to stay healthy, resulting in some like Bell, who isn't very good having to play RT if Collins were to go to LG?

If Dak wasn't as strong as he is the sacks would be way more as well. That one where he ducked down and almost fell down and rolled to his left was nuts with Donald breathing down his neck. We are still running the long developing routes it appears.

Well I guess we don't have to worry about paying Martin the largest OL contract in the NFL now, with the way he has been struggling.

Tyron was terrible, too. I think Collins played better than Tyron personally.

Collins needs to go back to Guard - I forget who said this in Dallas front office before the move. Collins could be an All Pro guard or an good RT. I will take the All Pro. Shame on Dallas not fixing the RT spot. We had the cap room and enough time.

Collins to LG. Green and Bell hold the fort at RT. Draft a new RT in the first two rounds next year.

I strongly disagree with the second half of you statement. With our defense you really want to spend the first 2 picks of next years draft on the offensive line? One of those 2 picks yes. But not both. I think more than Collins at RT, Green at LG is the problem. I understand the move, I personally like the idea of moving Collins to RT, I just wish they would have done that LAST year. Leary should have always been the LG from the beginning. Even with Collins at LG, the line did not look as good as it did with Leary in that spot. Collins will be fine. He will be better than Free at that spot. This team needs a new LG.

Oline not playing well but I also blame coaching.

The trend begins with Garrett, Linehan and Pollack.

Add the front office as well.

The Boys ignore the fact that it takes time for 5 guys to gel. By dithering about Cooper/Green that was one problem. With Green's injury history (and proven once again) that was a blown call. Should have had Cooper as the starter from the first day of training camp. THEN the whole line could have been working together. Still no one should have expected the line to be as good as it was most of last year.

Eatman is an idiot wishing for Free to be back; by the end of last season anyone with a brain saw he was done. By then he had the third most pressures/sacks of ANY TACKLE IN THE NFL.

Collins - have to give the guy more time. I would wait until the end of the season to evaluate him.

Hopefully the have Cooper starting from now on; that spot needs to be stable.

What is more concerning to me is that while Martin seems to be doing OK, both Frederick and Tyron are not. Fredbeard really worries me- I think something is wrong there .
