I mean he suck’s but apparently is a good teacher of linebackers. Some will say ours suck but they were better before he got ahold of them. Maybe he was a product of good linebackers…I’m looking at Shotty now for the hire and standing by him.

I don't think he's a lb whisperer. The main thing that made Leonard great was his punchout. I doubt eberflus taught that otherwise all of his linebackers would. He sucks man. And schotty is doing typical coach speak but if eberflus finishes the year schotty is a fool

Was Eberflus forced on Schottenheimer by Jerry, or did Schottenheimer actually hire Eberflus himself. I think the head coach should be allowed to hire his own coaching staff. The head coach would seem to have the best idea who he wanted to hire as Defensive Coordinator based on how it helps his offensive philosophy as well as his team's overall vision and direction. Schottenheimer hired Klayton Adams to be his Offensive Coordinator, Adams has been very good thus far. Chances are the Head Coach could have also hired a very good Defensive Coordinator as well.

Who is surprised? If Sean Lee wasn't basically a coach on the field this dude would've never gotten a shot to coach. He was made by Lee and darius Leonard. Without them he's Mike Nolan

Basic football fundamentals are not being taught, any defensive coordinator would be screaming at his corners to get up close to the receiver and press, on 3rd and 5. Yet Eberflus just lets these corners play 8 to 10 yards back and this allows an easy pitch and catch for another first down. Also teaching corners to turn their head around and look for the ball was taught in Junior Varsity as well as wrap up tackling by linebackers and safeties. What is this guy doing to help these players improve, if he can't teach basic football fundamentals.

I second that idea and always have since Sean Lee's uncanny play diagnosing abilities at linebacker. Could Sean Lee teach players how to diagnose where the football is going like he played the game on the field. That is what I am talking about.

The owner hired a stubborn hack, in his own image. Jerry is the reason this team is shooting itself in the foot. He hires people he knows or is comfortable with regardless off how trash they are at their job. Every single red flag was ignored in the process of hiring Eberfraud. Why do you think every head coach dosent find another head coaching job when they leave here?

Exactly. Just the demeanor he had walking back into the building after the Panthers game told me all I need to know. He doesn't think any of this is his fault, which is what the writer of the article was saying.

He's not only too dumb to pivot, there's zero accountability with him.

That's the worst kind of coach. Not only that, he has very likely already lost the locker room.

By the time the defense has the players capable of implementing Eberflus's defense, Dak and CD will be gone and the offense will have to rebuild.
