Whether it’s on the field or off, almost nothing connected to the Dallas Cowboys flies under the radar. But there is a candidate this season. A big part of the run game success: OC Klayton Adams

Story: nytimes.com/athletic/67052…

Matt Eberflus: “I know how smart he is. Going against him, he’s a heck of a guy that can design the runs, really create angles, mismatches, wide holes before contact. (Creating) yards before contact — he’s great at doing that. And he’s got all the schemes. He’s got the gap schemes and the zone schemes and really understands principles of defense to take advantage of angles.

“He doesn’t ask the players to do a bunch of things. He asks them to do the same things over and over again. But the way he dresses it up, that makes it hard for the defense.”

Could you imagine the offense he could build with Garrett and Kellen Moore by his side?? Lol

In any capacity, yes keep this guy in town. Throw more money his way, add another job Title.
It’s nothing you can do if he gets a head coaching job. With as productive as his running games have been I’m shocked he hasn’t gotten one before now.

He's here 1 year, 2 max and I would absolutely make him the Head Coach to keep him. Smell ya later, Schotty.
If Riley is as smart as they all say, he’s learning and teaching everything Adams is running. The players are learning. Adams won’t go from OL coach to head coach too fast, but even if he gets a gig two years from now, Schotty and Riley should be able to keep it going. And if Jerry actually starts building the defense while keeping the offense strong, he will be happy to overpay Adams to stay as OC to try and win a SB.

If Jerry remains cheap on player acquisition, then Adams will see no ring in his future and move on.

I love Adams. He has brought so much to this team. I hope we keep him for sure.

As for Eberflus commenting about an offense- the only thing he knows about an offense is that his defense can't stop one.

The Cowboys would need to make sure that Adams doesn't look to take Riley along with him as his OC.

Its so frustrating how insecure this team makes me about keeping good coaches/coordinators.

Can we just have 2 measly years before the vultures come pick us dry? No one gave a crap about him in AZ. He comes to Dallas and hes halfway out the door 5 games in lol.
