Eberflus vs Schottenhiemer

So many of us are down on Eberflus at this current moment, is it all his fault not at all let's be realistic. His defense is the worst in the league, players are struggling every week. With that said, we're giving him the blame because his defense isn't doing good. We have our head coach and the offense is doing well, so really there's not a harsh rate of anger towards him. Could our record be better of course, is there things our head coach could do better yes!!

I think we need to be fair and back off the Eberflus anger and let's see what he can do going forward. If he's around next season and he's allowed to get the players to make this defense better, then we can judge him. This defense has seen a lot of injured players on the unit, and we have a lot of backups that aren't any better.

Hoping things turn for the better, if not, change is a great thing!!!! Please give your thoughts

EverFluffer is this teams worst enemy. Can't wait till this clown is gone.

Worse than the clapper.

If he's around next season, which no reasonable GM/owner would do, Jerry is a damn fool.

Stephen is just saying he'll be back because they don't have the cajones to fire him, which they should have done at the start of the season.
 
It is painfully apparent that the defensive players were not properly prepared by the coaching staff. It’s also apparent that players that are playing poorly are not held accountable. I place that squarely on the defensive coaching staff.
 
I still find it hard to believe ALL the Defensive players are terrible. I mean most are just BAD but Eberflus isn't getting anything from ANYONE. That's highly unusual and it reflects really poorly on him IMO. He's Mike Nolan Part Deux. It might end up even being worse than Nolan unbelievably.

see but for some reason if he's around next year he'll be great somehow and we'll forget about how good he is, and the OFFENSE will be the problem

Questions me to realize what do they do at practice? Do they just look around at each other while the coach is telling them what to do, are they playing frisbee with each other or something

You act like Brian hasn't said this already he said he didn't want to hear about the offense or the stats he doesn't want to hear about MVP talk for Prescott because they are not playing great inconsistent even on offense he knows we're all sitting here saying why didn't you get more aggressive and and go for it more on 4th down against the Broncos he had a shot to at least make the game more competitive and he didn't he played too safe we saw it play calling was suspect at the end of the Panthers game but the thing you're forgetting is sometimes you're trying to play differently and call plays differently because of your defense..

They definitely are the better unit the play calls the designs they are better Usually those things can be thrown under the rug when you have a couple of bad series when your defense is even average ours is not average so I don't think it is fair to be picking on Schottenheimer but he knows himself that they could have done better in a few games There were some second halves like against Philadelphia the Panthers and the Broncos they could have been more aggressive to play calling could have been a little bit better...

The biggest thing he can do is go to Matt and say if you don't play aggressive man defense from here on out you're definitely fired at the end of the season you might be fired during the bye week he can go there and I don't care what Jerry says brian should just hang himself out on a limb and just tell Jerry I don't want this guy on my team because if that's not the case then it is Schottenheimer's fault because he is the head coach and if he's not Completely seeing how bad this defense is and that the defensive coordinator could have done a lot better by being more aggressive then yes it is on the head coach don't be scared of Jerry make Jerry fire you I don't think Jerry would dare fire Schottenheimer as good as he's been so now you can pretty much do whatever you want you have one in the bag as they say.

I think Schottenheimer should very well challenge Dairy right now he should tell Jerry if he doesn't get his way with Matt calling the defense better he wants him gone at the bye week and that he'll come out in public and say that he doesn't want Matt on this team he never wanted Matt on this team and he's not taking credit for Matt being here and that he wants him fired but Jerry won't let him he should come out in public and say that I would laugh out loud be the best moment we've had here all year..LOL

Can you imagine Schottenheimer being at a weekly press conference when Jerry's not there like he was this week he was out of town and him just laying into Jerry and telling the world that he doesn't want Matt here but Jerry's forcing him to have him that would be so great....

If he wants to be a fan favorite and he wants to keep the locker room that's the best thing he could do is come out and tell the real truth I like how he was all defensive and a little angry at this last press conference that tells me it's getting to him a bit but that would be the next step I would just come out and challenge Jerry Publicly and admit that he never wanted Matt and that is doesn't want Matt here but Jerry won't let him fire him LOL

Now if we listen to Prescott and I usually believe him he doesn't lie I don't think he's played the voice of reason he's saying that at practice they've looked a lot better that was before all these new injuries he's saying the defense has looked really good in practice but they just don't play well in the game that tells me the game plans and the way they're calling plays on the opposing offense is playing checkers versus chess they're playing chess and Matt has no answer for it even if it's not a good roster or not you have to believe they've all said there were great practices early in the season they don't understand how that all went down in the games...

Except for Parsons is gone and the only reason Jerry let Tank Lewis Golston, some guys like that go is because they assumed they had Parsons when you take Parsons out of the equation and realize their entire plan included Parsons meaning the guys they let go and some of the guys they drafted were supposed to be with persons as the foundation that is a big loss..

These moves were made before Parsons got traded like what 10 days before game one how would that world do you make up for that including the fact that Rebels still isn't here and that all these other injuries But you are right these are his guys sanborn Murray the rookie linebacker and James these are his guys he is stubborn he keeps playing them over and over..


There are mitigating circumstances here I keep trying to tell people that when you have your whole offseason already complete with the assumption Parsons was playing and Parsons is the best defender they have he's the second best player on our team when he was here and all of a sudden he's gone that's like a giant crack in the foundation now everything is off..

Hale Nah, get this Dude out before the bye week. At the very latest the end of the season smh.

Again, see what Bears fans were saying last year...spoiler you'll hear the same complaints on this board. Flus is cooked and set in his ways. The guy really should've took a break from football after getting fired to recharge because he looks fried and Schotty has given an undertone that this guy isn't doing the proper work necessary to put together a good gameplan and develop players. Not one player from last year's defense has improved under Flus, most guys are struggling. Cowboys have a bad coach.
 
I'm not a fan of Eberflus, but I'm more angry about the scheme he uses.
