This defense has strengths? Where?
 
I will have to give him the dak defense.
He has no number ones at every position
They haven't dumbed down the defense like they did for dak, maybe it's too hard.
I blame jerry.
He needs more money to get his brain into the best shape of his life.

The defense scheme is the problem and he is too stubborn to change it.
 
I know JJ and SJ will trot out the convenient injury excuse to blame the performance on missing players.

They will also overhype contributions from Overshown, Revel, and players to be traded tor shortly in order to try and keep the hopium flowing.

But the bottom line is this: a decimated Liions D and secondary has been fundamentally sound as a unit from top to bottom with a brand new DC. They have made play after play and have more fight in them than I have seen in Dallas in 30+ years.

Coaching matters. Accountability matters. Focusing on the details matters. Competitive fire, fight, and pride matters.

We are made up of a bunch of individual parts that all want to “get the bag.” They collectively wilt in the face of any actual competition from a legit contender.

Another cluster-cuss of an offseason by the GM who will cryo-genically freeze himself to maintain control of this franchise from the after life after he dies

Looking at the dudes on the field yesterday. What are their strengths?

Lack of talent, poor scheme, and confused players are what we are putting out there. Go back and review our 11 starting defensive players for Sunday's game and tell me how many could start for another team. I'm thinking 2, maybe 3 but that's it. IMO the talent just isn't there......we scheme pieces, that can hustle and play their heart out but at the end of the day they are overmatched. You can see their body language after every big play is like Oh well.......they are just out there.
 
Make no mistake, the offense is frustrated. Of course players are going to support their teammates. That is what they are programed to do you could see the frustration with Dak, Lamb and Pickens. They know their teammates are put in no-win situations.......Bridge, Bell, Murray ( just to name a few) are busting their a____ out their but are overmatched.

I know fans don't wanna hear this but the KNOW what Parsons brought to their defense. They don't care two cents about draft picks and future rookies.

There's plenty of blame to go around:

Jerry doesnt care about Defense. Lets be fair, especially on Offense we draft for need (or listen to DC), we/Jerry wasnt even that high on Micah, or we wouldnt of traded back 3 places. McClay shares in this Example 1 Mazi Smith (war room tape).

RevolvIng Door of DC - linked to Jerry, who doesnt care and tries to get his DC to do their best with limited resources. There's no succession between one DC signing and the next.......as is being said a good DC can get the best out of limited resources

Jerry/McClay 2 - look at how many of our Defensive draft picks get an extension (as compared to Offensive players).....from Quinn's DC era (a supposed involvement in the draft).....only Osa was retained.....says it all (even Overshown isnt a lock if his body doesnt hold up).

The players ARE TO BLAME if they cant keep their D-LINE gap integrity. or cannot make their personal tackles.

Eberflus is to blame for leaving 7th Rd CB's (Bridges) isolated because he wont give him any Safety help, then again who was playing Safety.......we were down to NOBODY LEFT = INJURIES HAPPEN. WHEN PLAYERS DONT CARE.

Having sais all of that we're expecting to be in WIN NOW, to take advantage of the Offense. Well make the decision NOW, if Eberflus isnt the man, give the new appointment half a season to mould something.

The frightening realism is we are so bereft of talent that we may have to sacrifice Offensive pieces to even up the Defense.
 
Starts with Eberflus. He's the head of the snake. He must go now. Then we ain't trading for 8;or 9 new starters on that awful d. At this juncture, it's on them. So we need to simply everything and then determine who should be starting and THEN let it play out. This Eberflus experiment is over.
 
While I think we need better players on defense the Garth truth is that multiple times this season this defense has provided us with the worst possible outcomes. You could play the Denver game 5 games and it really couldn’t get worse defensively. Same with the giants game. Same with the packer game.

If the defense was simply struggling in some areas I’d cut Eberflus a ton of slack due to the lack of talent, but we are frequently seeing the worst possible scenario play out on the field so what value is he really bringing us? You could literally go without a DC and just have the players wing it on the field and see similar results.

This is also on Schottenheimer. At some point you have to hold your DC accountable even if that isnt your specialty.
 
Nope..plenty of these players on defense suck..they don't get a pass just because the d coordinator sucks..
