This newest rumor about the Cowboys being interested in going after Joe Horn really had me bummed out. At first I thought that maybe this is just Jerry trying to put a little bit of a scare into Terry Glenn is what I was initially thinking.

But then I heard Ed Werder on GAC this afternoon..

Werder on GAC

So now after listening to that what am I thinking? I think Jerry started talking about looking into Joe Horn with some front office people and then his offensive staff got word of it and they immediately told him it was a bad idea.

Think about it.

Why would Jason Garrett want Horn when he already knows what he has in Crayton? And then throw in the fact that I would put money down that 90% of NFL Scouts think Crayton is the better player at this point in time.

So I don't even think Jerry even went that far into the thinking along the lines of scaring Terry Glenn because Glenn probably has his contacts on the offensive staff that are telling him that none of them are on board with going after Horn.

Well considering Jerry Jones said on TV, Dallas has no interest in Horn I guess Mr. Ed is wrong once again...

I think Jerry is just panicking right now. He did the same thing during the draft when he thought about moving up to grab the tall dude from Indiana (can't remember his name!)

He know's this is SB or bust year and he just wants to have all the bases covered. Horn is certainly not the answer. I could see him come in a couple of games and have 80-90 yds, but you can get that from Austin and Hurd. I'm just afraid of losing somebody like Austin and he then goes to have this great career like Jimmy Smith did. Bill will swoop him up in a second if we let him go! If Sean Payton couldn't use him in the NFC Championship game with the likes of a solid rookie, Colston, and our old Austin and Hurd, Devery Henderson, then what makes anyone think he has anything left?

I say up the anti to $750K for Glen and just roll with the punches. If you get 400-500 yds it will be well worth it. Then next year you can go after Roy Williams, and solidify the WR's. Next year we will only have to pay Canty, and Ware, and Tank and a few small one's so you can invest a lot into Roy Williams.

Glenn just got 5 mill last year for nothing.

I just wish he would do the right thing and except less money.

If he only got 2 or 3 mill last year then I could see him throwing a fit.

But you got 5 mill dude! Just play!
