with loosing Quinn, who are you looking at for replacing him....

here are a few id like to take a run at. i'd like to keep price around 10 - 12 mill a season.

Donta Fowler Jr.
Leonard Floyd
Everson Griffen
Ezekiel Ansah

Yes definitely need to add some talent on the DL. Cut Ty craw use that money toward a real DE.

I wonder how much Fowler is going to command. I’d take a look. The McCoy signing came out of no where so let’s hope we have some more coming

Gregory should return.

They may play this flex game still with Crawford. :banghead:

They still have and seem to like Armstrong, Jelks, Jackson.
Hyder is a possibility to return, as he can play inside and outside.

But any of those the OP listed, sure would not hurt.

i think at this point we need the bodies so i could see them restructuring or extending him to lower the cap hit... he has to have pic's of Jerry on the buss at oxnard with LA women or something, they just keep him around.

I'd drop a call to Michael Bennett. If you can talk him into playing another year in Dallas. He won't cost a ton, would be a one year deal most likely as well.

Other names I like are mentioned above........... Golden and Griffen. I suspect they might wait out Clowney. If Clowney doesn't have the market he thinks, maybe they swoop in? I'd cut Crawford now in a heartbeat, scrap together the extra cap space and get Clwoney.

I wouldn’t think twice about being Hyder back. The dude was constantly in the backfield and is cheap. No brainer.
i can see this happening as a backup player, but not as a starter, which i think most people think we are looking for.

Fowler is going to make closer to 20 and Floyd is a terrible passrusher.

Of this group, I like Griffen, but I'd be pursuing Clowney.

I'd also be pursuing Clowney, especially if they want to be as multiple as they say. Visions of an odd man sub package with Tank and Gregory (or another speed rusher) on the outside with McCoy aligned over the guard's outside shoulder in the B-gap and Clowney and Jaylon standing up double A-gap has me giddy.

I think only reason bennett came here was because his former coach was here. now that he's gone, he's leaving... there were several times last year he was very open about how dysfunctional this team was.

That is a pass rush wet dream

A big reason for that dysfunction is gone............ the coaching staff.

But I just read he is angling to go back to Seattle to finish his career.

I wouldn't mind seeing what Jaylon looks like as an occasional edge rusher, even with his hand on the ground.

I still have concerns about Gregory. I know he doesn't have to worry about the weed issue now, but he still needs to show he can be counted on as a starting DE.

Well, Fowler had better numbers then did Quinn last year so I doubt he only gets 10-12 mil.
Floyd is a LB. We don't need that on this team for big money.
Griffin is a possibility but he's going into his 11th year and his best days are clearly behind him.
Ansah is essentially Lawrence, to me. But he too is a possibility, depending on price.

Id take Griffen out of that list. Just a very solid player. Fowler obviously, but he is going to command big money. Ansah I just cant trust to stay healthy.

I could see them kicking the tires on Floyd since he was such a high pick. But he may be more of a camp body at this point.

I kinda have a feeling the plan is Gregory though
