Doesn't bother me as much as Harold Carmichael. And I understand the sentiment for Harold, but he's not Drew as a receiver.
Edgerrin IMO has HOF stats.

Just bizarre and completely asinine
No need to knock one HoF in favor of another. Edgerrian James is not the one keeping Pearson out is the Hall it’s the voters.
Its a different era and he played some good football in some important games and when it mattered. Not only that but its hard to argue against the only player on the All Decade team not in the Hall. So whether his stats hold up or not....he was voted the best at his position in that decade. That means something. Why would a guy that averaged 650 yards and 4 TD's a year get into the HOF? Those are Cole Beasley type numbers.

So I’m too young to to know but help me here. How did he get All Decade? He was lucky to play on a great team with a great QB that had lots of success. He had opportunities to shine and he did shine in some big games.
However, if all you can do is score 4 TD's a year, you dont belong in the HOF. I don't care what era it was. That "it was a different era" thing only goes so far.
Pearson made had some great games and some great moments in big games. Call him clutch. But he wasnt HOF worthy. He simply didnt have the career to support that.
YOu have to draw the line somewhere. HOF should be reserved for the very best of the best. Maybe he shouldnt have been on the all decade team.
You are one ignorant person with no football IQ to post these kind of posts, seek help for your problems. He was lucky to play on a great team with a great QB that had lots of success. He had opportunities to shine and he did shine in some big games.

He is also a beneficiary of the change in the game.James was one of the finest players of his generation. He caught 50 fewer passes than Pearson ... as a running back and has over 12k yards rushing and 91 total TDs.
James deserves this

The receivers in the run generation of the NFL deserve recognition for their achievements.
That is the point.
The real thing about James is this. Did you ever think he was a great game-changer? Or was it more that he was the guy that ran the ball alongside Peyton?
Did any defensive coordinator stay awake at night worrying how they could control him?
