I wouldnt think Im exaggerating or being short sighted in saying that any team in the league that lost their starting QB, that there would be a huge drop off in offensive production.

I agree, with the exception of Carson Wentz.

Lol oh please..

Dallas has possibly the most spoiled players in the NFL.

Edit: Lous Riddick... "We saw how that football team looked when he wasn't on the field."

Yes we saw it. Did you? WE stunk with him and we stunk without him.

We were a watermelon kick from an 0-4 start coming off an underachieving 8-8 season where we lost to any decent team we played including his week 16 blunder against Philly to miss the playoffs.

"Be careful treating these guys like a commodity."

Like for real? You're accusing Jerry Jones of not taking care of his guys? The same Jerry Jones who gave Zeke a fat new contract 2 years before he had to after Zeke pulled the crap he did every offseason?

true but they also over look we had record number of injurys most of which happened after dak got hurt..i mean you cant lose 17 players , also trade or cut many at the bye and all that turnover with new staff not effect the team record..people are blind they think oh dak got hurt that why we finished 6-10

um part of it yes all of it not even close.. so if dak doesnt get hurt ill go out on limb and say we would have finished 2 games better so 2- 8-8 seasons in row , wow yes pay the man 40mil

we all dont agree with Jones decsions many times over but this one i agree..

watsons was 4-12 wants out i mean if a 38-40 qb cant even get team to 500 whats the point, lose with rookie or cheap vet while you head in new direction..

not knock on dak or watson but it proves you cant simply pay every qb that type of money of the rest of the team is below average, no point in it..id lie to see dak stay for under 35 and 5 years and get the team back on track but he seems hell bent on milking jerry for all he can and im out on that plan..

1-3 with Dak.

5-5 with Dalton

Dalton literally was winning games at a much higher pace then Dak was lol

The defense played better the second half of the year. Also Dalton got the easy part of the schedule. Dak played three playoff teams his first four games.

My greatest disappointment so far in this off season is that Riddick, many times again, was passed over for a GM job and will bring his chatterbox back to ESPN for another unlistenable season.

So, when the schedule comes out, I have to decide on Straight Ahead Hard Rock, Metal or Electronica for each game. A Miami home game gets Ibiza Club Music. Seattle gets a 90's Grungefest and a Cleveland game gets peel your face off and sell your children Metalhead. Dallas gets Disco because a silver disco ball is all that's missing from that "stadium" and Deney Terrio in the Rowdy suit as guest mascot.
Or you can tune into the Westwood One radio broadcast team - Kevin Harlan handling the play-by-play duties, with Kurt Warner as the analyst.

Why do people find this difficult?

When NFL players talk about Dak, contract and money, it’s as an NFL player knowing that what Jerry does can have significant implications to their paychecks.

Louis Riddick is a former NFL player.

Even Shannon Sharpe, who laughs at Dak, defends him as far as money and contract go.

Dak played absolute scrubs defensible that were allowing 300-400 yards in the beginning of the year and only happened to ‘turn the corner’ well after Dallas played them. The Falcons, Browns and Seahawks were allowing every team to pass all over them when Dak was putting up garbage yardage after contributing to his team being down.

If Dallas had an awful defense, so did every team Dallas played during that stretch, so please spare the excuses.

Dalton was actually protecting the ball once the offense settled in, while Dak has like 4 INTs and 3 fumbles, against these scrub defenses in 5 ganes.

This narrative around Dak is just utterly bogus.

Louis Riddick has quickly tuned into a nob. No wonder he won't get a gm job. Espn has taught him how not act

No I want to focus on the team if we have a non elite QB like Dak who can’t carry us.

The don’t pay Dak crowd understands that it’s a team sport far more then you guys who want to pay him whatever.

The difference is you want your cake and eat it too.. You want football utopia.. Ain’t happening.

You get Dak for 40ish million on a team trending down, holes all over the roster, and bad contracts then it’s going to lead to mediocrity or just pure disaster.

Then they tell us it’s Jerry’s fault that he didn’t provide Dak with the support and why they go 8-8.. the same owner that gave up draft picks to get Cooper to save Dak’s career from becoming an embarrassment.

And these are the same dudes who before the season and in the early part were telling us how Dallas was sure-fire SB bound with this roster, particularly because of the offensive fire power.

Still doesn't change the fact that 3 of the first 4 opponents were playoff teams. QB record is a dumb metric to rank qbs anyway. If you think otherwise then you must think Watson is one of the worst qbs in the league.

Still doesn’t change the fact these teams sucked defensively when Dak put up garbage time stats and was turning the ball over allowing these teams to build huge leads.

And who is talking about record over a full sixteen game season? I’m the one saying their defenses were complete garbage.

The Seahawks ever allowed more yardage to the Patriots and Cam Newton abc gave up 30 points the week before playing Dallas.

The Cowboys defense starting out was literally the worst in league history going back to the 70s. It's not the same thing at all.

Uh no it wasn’t. They allowed only 20 points to the Rams. They lost that game. Dak started down Cooper and threw a game ending INT into double coverage against the Browns and lost the game. Dak threw a pick 6 against the Giants.

A point you don't see around here often. How does the handling of Dak affect the players on the team and the possibility of signing quality free agents. Not about money but about the reputation of how Dallas treats its players.

Some folks don’t get it, the more talk of Dak, the more free publicity of the Cowboys, JJ keeps winning.

Yep.. They will applaud the decisions that make us mediocre along the way and then blame Jerry when they were very much pushing for the same thing.

Dak made some mistakes but some great plays as well. Cowboys made some solid plays but were on pace for the worst defense in history. Both can be true.

We had the # 1 offense in the league cause he had to throw 60 times against trash pass defenses.

It wasn’t like we just jumped out on teams and dominated...

Aren’t we at like 20 something games in a row with no opening drive TD?

Don’t try to sell me this fools gold.. That’s for some other sucker.

And...Dak couldn't beat the Jets. The Jets.
