Anyone playing this?

Very nice trip down memory lane. Looks pretty good, and haven't played through enough to say whether or not it justifies the price. However its by far there best addition, much bettee then Orisinum which was excellent.

Havent played in 3 months so Im rusty, and factor in the nerf to reduced spell cost and legit content is kicking my butt.

Warden class is interesting, but I dont know if it will be good enough at anything the to be a choice class for any role

Morrowind is my favorite TES title by far, almost got the expansion but am going to hold off a bit. Played the beta for a bit and thought it was pretty good.

Wow that stinks. I had read somewhere on steam that they were.
I wish they would let obsidian make it.
I'm sure ESO is doing quite well for them so they are focused on other projects at the moment. When ESO starts to slide, they'll likely refocus on ES6 at that point.

Bethesada has a another studio ZOS for ESO. They dont use any of there core developers.

I think the way to go with ESO is one more big Chapter similar to Morrowind and then start working on a sequel. ESO is sitting just south of 90GB in hard drive now the next chapter will push it north of 120 most likey. Thats gonna turn alot of console players off, and if you continue with ESO your population could dwindle.

I dont know what there lifetime sales figures are, but Im assuming if they invested in a Super Bowl ad for Morrowind, they must have been very good. And Morrowind has been a hit critically and in terms of new players. I think they have successful enough to justify a sequal. Considering a percentage of there player base is console, I dont think a WOW model is viable long term. Single game wont survive for a decade plus IMO

Do you have to pay a monthly service if you buy the new version on console? Is there anything that would interest a single player type player like me, though I know it say online in the title, etc.? Looks pretty cool but scared off by the learning curve at this point and it seemingly relying on P2P/online communication with other players. Thank for the info in advance!

Did a little reading up on it and seems like Diablo if played solo if I'm reading it right(?); also saw no mo. fee like I initially thought like FFXIV. Could you play this solo or is it like Destiny where you only hit a certain cap bf MP is required to complete the missions/quests?

Not really, Diablo is more like a action RPG as opposed to a RPG/MMO in the traditional sense. You can play solo but some areas require you to be in groups. As far as the price goes there is actually things like DLC and a crafting bag{which comes in handy for those that like to craft} that are in the in game store that cost crowns which can be purchased with real world money. ESO has a huge online population.

Thanks for info Achilles, hate to say seems a little too hardcore for me; I'm more Diablo, Witcher 3, Dragon's Dogma, Dragon Age and ES5 last gen, etc. Was also looking at Marvel Heroes Omega on PS4 but seems they have the that FTP angle; anyone played that MMO?

The only fee you need to pay is for PS Plus. There is an optional monthly ESO Plus sub, but not nessesary. If you do buy, try and get a version that comes with all all DLC included.

Massive amounts of single player content. The story playthrough is all single player. The only thing that is multiplayer only is group dungeons, trials and PVP battlegrounds

Thanks for pointing out the specifics regarding single player content bc that's mainly what i meant though I got on a tangent (big surprise). I'll wait for Amazon to do one of those flash sales where the hard disk with all the DLC drops to $40. There are little if any RPGs on consoles right now but flooded with shooters/fighting n action games. Should be cool and tks again for info.

I have ESO, but I haven't played it in a long time and only got my guy up to around 15th level. I was trying to play with friends, but if you don't play together your quests get out of sync and then it screws everything up. Hence why I quit playing it.
