Remember in the 2021 draft, we had to get a new CB. It looked good we would get Surtain or Jaycee Horn. Then we were crushed. Many were saying " How can we possibly have such bad luck?"

It was all worked out above, only no one saw it. Heaven sent us his Prophet Micah to restore the legendary Doomsday Defense, to restore the past glory of yesteryear, after the historically horrible defense of 2020 and many years of mediocrity.

Prophet Micah is indeed heaven-sent, Number Eleven From Heaven. The visions of Harvey Martin and Demarcus Ware come to mind, but this Micah is both and thunder and lightning sprung from heaven's gate to restore the glory of the Dallas Cowboys.

This is why you draft BPA.

Parsons was a stud and we didn’t overthink it and took him. Now reaping the benefits.

We will call it pure luck since the "brain trust" was bound and determined to draft a corner at that draft spot, and Micah literally fell in their lap.

It wasn't pure luck. They didn't trade up to get one of the CBs. They didn't pass Parsons up for a different guy at more of a "need" position. They were patient and took the best player available. Luck is the residue of design.

And it's not like taking Surtain would have been some big mistake. He may be the best CB in the league. I don't think Denver is ruing their choice. Of course, they have other choices to rue.

After watching the FO repeatedly run it into the ground for a quarter century, you will have to pardon me while I stand by my original take. The only place "the residue of design " applies here is filling the Jones family coffers IMO.

You need to separate the stuff from the stuff. The FO has been well above average in drafting for quite a while now. It's in other areas that they fail.

Sorry I don't see it that way and further more had it not been for the pandemic and Micah sitting out the 2020 season this team wouldn't have lucked into him because he would have been a top 5 pick. I see maybe a handful of players other teams would love to have. I don't see all this wonderful drafting. We will have to agree to disagree on this.

So...if they couldn't have drafted him (because he went higher), they wouldn't have drafted him? Can't argue with that.

We wouldn’t have been wrong to take Surtain or Horn, both are excellent pros, but neither would have the impact Parsons has

A great example of why teams should draft BPA and avoid drafting for need.

Remember when "we" all wanted a cornerback and "we" were all crushed when they were gone and "nobody" saw how good Micah would be?

They always seek company when proven wrong.
