0 TDs, 2 FGs.

Discuss.

I know it's zero TDs, but do we really only have 2 FGs out of that?

What in BLUE hell?

And people get upset when we complain about stuff like this. They bring up W/L records and final scores as if that's what we complain about.

Sorry, but not being able to take advantage of opportunities like that will hurt you eventually.

When you consider some of that took place with Romo at the helm it is pretty amazing that we are 5-3. We need to improve in that area, no doubt.

Wow...I thought that was our defense stopping them...

Never mind..

This is stats for both teams right? I know we didn't have 11 possessions that started on their end. Hell those may be just their stats. They were on our end all day.

Each team only had one possession that started on their opponents side of the field. Tampa's first possession started on the Dallas 47 and Dallas only possession came after the fumble at the Tampa 48. I have all the Gamebooks and will look at all possessions starting on the opponents side of the field.

So basically this is a made up stat? Great.

Tough to judge here. Tampa's defense has been outstanding this season. It's the first time they've allowed 10 points in the first half, the first time they haven't created a turnover, etc.

I'm not oblivious to the fact that the Cowboys offense is porous, but it's not a fair week to pile on an injury riddled offensive group playing against one of, if not, the stingiest defenses in the league.

Exactly what are you talking about?

For the season. We've started 11 possessions on the opponent's half of the field and have a total of six points. Granted, some of those were run-out-the-clock/kneel-down possessions, but many of them were not.

i remember at least six times this year this has happened maybe more. the first game against the browns. romo turned it over in the enzone. the eagles at the beginning of the second half . the bengals romo threw a pick. the cardinals i think three times. missed a field goal a fumble and the end of the half. maybe the packers game to romo threw pick by the endzone. then of course a the fumble recovery on the kickoff in this past game and this stupid penalties by watkins and then the oline breaking down on barber. of course johnson under throwing williams and owens on second and third down.

here is a run down on our possessions inside the opponents 50

Game 1 no starting drives inside opponent’s side of field.
1.Game 2 last drive started philly 49 Romo downs two snaps to end the game

2.Game 3 started on GB 14 3 plays 7 yards kicked a field goal.

3.Game 3 onside kick failed penalty on GB started at the GB 34 4 plays turned the ball over on downs trying to run the clock out.

Game 4 no possessions starting on Washington’s side of the field.

4.Game 5 Gregg Ellis intercepted Bengals pass drive started on the Cincy 17 settled for a FG

5.Game 5 took over on Cincy 49 on turnover on downs. Romo took a knee to end the game

6.Game 6 recovered a fumble on the cards 25 turned the ball over on a fumble.

7.Game 6 took the ball over on a muffed kick. At Cards 27 ran 4 plays for 9 yards and then missed the FG

8.Game 6 returned a kickoff to the Cards 46 ran 4 plays and then punted.

9.Game 7 returned a punt to the Rams 44. Ran 4 plays for 15 yards and then missed the FG.

10.Game 8 Recovered a fumble at Bucs 48 Ran 6 plays went 7 yards and then punted.

Alright so we had 10 possessions inside the opponents 50, 3 of those possessions were to end the game with a lead. Two of the seven possessions where we were trying to score resulted in field goals and missed two field goals. We had two punts and one turnover. So out of seven possessions we have had no touchdowns. Those seven drives are quite pathetic we should have at least two touchdowns, but I’m more disappointed that we haven’t had more opportunities which goes back to the lack of turnovers this year.

Thanks for clearing that up. The OP should have been more clear.

and to think we led the league in red-zone scoring 2 years ago

We lead the NFL in offensive touchdowns right now. It's just that none of them have come when we've started in our opponents' territory.
