I just got a message saying Eli is about to sign an $84M extension.

I've got to leave, so I don't have time to search the web for a link about it.

While our front office is scouting guys to eventually replace out 34 year old QB, the Giants are signing extending theirs for 4 more years

Dumb.

They should have put him out there and gotten something for him.
He'll be 35 before next Super Bowl.

Bite the bullet. Dump him. Draft new QB next year.

Remember all the hand wringing and gnashing of teeth over Romo's deal?

Romo is a steal at his deal if you compare it to what guys like Ryan Tannehill and Eli are getting.

Excellent deal, Eli is elite and worth every penny. Now, they are set at QB for four more years. This will in no way effect on how they acquire future players. I still can't believe Dallas paid Romo all that money........for what? No rings?

The media will say......... :banghead:

Eli should NOT be giving a hometown discount. He's worth way more.

We paid too much for him but at the same time, I am glad he will finish his career with Giants.

That is a lot of cheddar for a guy that has two losing seasons on the bounce.

After seeing how poorly Eli played last night (And yes I know he had receivers dropping the ball as well which hurt him also) I'm still not sure why they gave up that much money for him.

My only guess is that they're terrified to have to move on from Eli, especially with OBJ in place.

Yes. drafting a franchise QB is hard when not in the top 4 picks of the draft.
Then it is still hard. To make sure you have a passing QB and not a one read tuck and run.

Screw Eli and the Giants. Lets not forget that in the Cowboy's first season in the new Stadium, Eli and the Giants beat us. Lets also remember that he was so high class about it that he wrote Graffiti all over the locker room walls. Yeah, he's real classy. Screw that guy.

Didn't he just sign his name on the wall?
