With the way Daniel Jones played today, I'd say it is safe to say we will never see Eli Manning again against Dallas(barring injury this year).

I always thought he was over rated, but I got to give him credit for his class and for being clutch in big games, particularly those 2 Superbowl wins he has.

Eli will always be a worth opponent that I have much respect for

Thank you Eli!

Sure, he deserves respect. But he’s on the Giants and broke my heart multiple times. As a football player, I don’t like him at all

That’ll change once he retires

good man eli ! Thank You for destroying that franchise for years and years !

If winning two Super Bowls is destroying a franchise, sign me up. Now, I understand he was not the driving force in those Super Bowls, but he did more than his part in those playoff runs.

There were a few years there that I never felt completely safe with a lead on that team and it was mainly because of him.

I'll miss the Eli vs. Romo battles. Those were fun to watch. Dak vs Eli never really felt like it had time to build.

Anyways, always hated him for winning the first game in AT&T Stadium and signing his name in his locker. Lol

Why bench him then ?

I don't want him benched , let the man play !

Don't think Eli was overrated just simply got old and stiff.

He has always been a risk taker like Romo which leads into way too many picks and losses, and forces you to have to maintain an elite level defense at all times. I just don't like that style if ball. Dak's game is much more my preferred style and seems to lead to a lot of wins.

The Giant's had that Elite level defense obviously and is what it took to get a championship there. Dak can win one with whatever you characterize this one. Very good comes to mind for me. Quinn is going to help and looked relentless and explosive. Big game coming up for him.

Our D maybe Elite by years end.

You're happy Eli got replaced by rookie Daniel Jones?

How is that good news for the Cowboys?

I made a thread once about "favorite nemesis players". Eli was my pick. Too many good games against him and the Giants.

Romo and Eli both being replaced now is really the end of an era for the NFC East.

It's not good for the Cowboy's but fortunately the Giant's have a myriad of issues other than just quarterback. They appear irrelevant for the next two or three seasons at least imo.

He was incredibly clutch in 4th quarter's during his prime (2006 to 2010 or so). He wasn't a qb that was carried by his D all the time, although he had some outstanding ones. He just couldn't keep it up when he reached his 30s

The lesser Manning but two SB MVP’s get him into the hall one day. Seeing his career die off makes me feel older :muttley:

I appreciate the rivalry and look forward to a new one

I feel kinda bad for Eli, for a SB winning QB to end up getting benched is just embarrassing.

He should have read the tea leaves when the Giants drafted a QB with the 6th overall pick and demanded a trade. You never want your career to end the way his just did, you want to go out on your own terms.

Who wants to heap praise on a Giant with two rings while he's still playing? Threads like this one should only be created when said player retires.

Ya, well, that's about the gist of what was rolling down the turnpike when the Chipster got bounced outt'a Philly,,,er,,,as I recollect.

Been downright hilarious if he'd wanted to be traded to San Diegoo_O
