Awaiting results on the MRI...certainly looks like an achilles injury to me, based on how he hurt it.

We'll see what happens.

Yep. He may play next week, but this is going to affect his game all season. This may also compound and cause other injuries as well, with overcompensation.

and will play through it fine. The concern is that it could get worse from playing so that is something that needs to be watched.

A bigger problem right now may be that Boley played extremely well at LB"er the time he has been in but is now out for a while. He is on crutches and apparently suffered a serious enough injury to keep him out a few games.

That sucks. With all due respect, I hope he misses alot of time or isn't effective;)

Boley has been their best pickup this year I think. He was pretty good in Atlanta I always thought, I thought that was an underrated pickup. And now he's out ;)

They could sit Eli against the Raiders and it wouldn't matter.
Probably but the backup is David Carr. Anytime the starting QB doesn't play it sort of evens the playing field even if it is against the Raiders. Couple of mistakes by Carr and that changes things.

Yeah Boley has been really good. I liked him in Atlanta.

Eli will play through it. It's going to effect him though. That's not a fun injury to have, especially on his plant foot. It's going to make a difference. They'll really have to monitor that cause it can get bad.

As I recall that is what Newman had at the start of 07 and was going to try and play through it but it didn't happen and he wound up having to have something done so he could get back in and play. It wasn't a fun injury to say the least.

And if anyone saw how badly the offense went down hill on Sunday, with Carr in there, that would be very concerning for the Giants. You could just tell that the energy and everything went out of that offense with him in there.

Eli has confirmed he has Plantar Fasciitis...

There's an injury that might not keep him off the field, but it will bother him (what little mobility he had is out the window)... it's also an injury that takes a long time to heal, about the only cure for it is rest...

I remember when Mark Price was playing for the Wizards, he got hit with that injury, and it basically shut him down for the rest of the season...

It would, however, be worse if he was a WR or a RB... he may be able to tough it out...
