This is definitely a draft where we should be in position to take a player who can upgrade our special teams. When you're picking at the end of each round, chances of finding a potential elite player are slim but even if they pan out, they're not gonna be All-Pro at their position immediately. However, there's definitely a chance we could land a key contributor in the return game with our 1st-3rd rounder (think Tyler Lockett for the Seahawks). So far, I've got my eyes on the following prospects with their college career punt return stats:
DB
Adoree Jackson - 46 returns, 12.6 yard average, 4 TD
Jabrill Peppers - 39 returns, 13.1 yard average, 1 TD
Desmond King - 45 returns, 11.2 yard average, 0 TD
Cam Sutton - 46 returns, 14.3 yard average, 3 TD
Eddie Jackson - 11 returns, 23 yard average, 2 TD
These players may develop into great players on defense down the road but in the immediate future, they should be able to provide a spark in our return game at the very least. Any other DBs or WRs to look out for? (although I don't think WR is on the radar with the re-signing of T-Will)
