Elisabeth Hasselbeck is leaving "The View" to join Fox News' morning show, "Fox & Friends," the New York Post's Page Six reported Tuesday evening.

The news, which New York Times media reporter Brian Stelter also reported on Twitter, comes several months after Hasselbeck was first rumored to be leaving ABC's long-tenured daytime talk show. She will join "Fox & Friends" in "mid-September," the report says.

Stelter said that Wednesday will be Hasselbeck's last day on "The View," bringing her lengthy tenure there to an abrupt end. The show is going through an almost-complete overhaul; by mid-2014, Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Hasselbeck will all have departed.

All eyes will be on "The View" Wednesday to see how her departure is handled. The apparently sudden nature of the exit could suggest some behind-the-scenes tensions.

I used to like the original incarnation of The View. (Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Star Jones, and Meredith Viera (sp?)).

Over time and whatnot, I just stopped watching. Not for any particular reason other than I just lost interest. Should be interesting who they replace Barbara with, because that will determine the success or failure of the show's future.

In the morning, I tend to watch the local Fox channel, because graphically it's prettier to watch on TV. lol I do like they give weather and traffic every 10 mins. Other than that, I don't watch much TV in the am when I'm getting ready for work.

When I worked from home, I could've watched The View, but I never did. Last time I was into daytime TV (soaps, talk, judge shows), I was a student. So when I worked from home, I simply watched shows that were on my DVR. Now I don't have to watch my DVR shows either.

Love Ellen too, although it is rare that I ever get to see it. The other show I like is that Canadian guy ,uh has a Greek last name.

I never liked Ellen as a stand up comedian. However there has been a few times the wife has recorded that show and showed me a couple of clips that were pretty funny. Mostly when she is doing pranks where she scares guests and some other silly stuff like that.
