Elizabeth Taylor dead at 79

RIP Liz you were a total knockout back in the day.

For some reason I thought she was older. She seemed to have always been.
RIP.

I never saw the supposed beauty others saw in her. Maybe because I never saw any of her movies. She seemed stuck-up and strange to me.

I read an article that the night Richard Burton died, he wasn't feeling well in Switzerland and went to his bedroom to lay down. He died later that night but mailed a letter to Elizabeth Taylor. He had since remarried. The letter shocked her because it arrived after he had died. She has never disclosed any hint as to what was in the letter. I wonder if she will take that letter with her to her grave.

:lmao2: You are starting to rank up there with theogt. This post couldn't be more lame. Well, except maybe some of the post you claimed as fact about nuclear reactors that weren't anything more than (ill informed) opinion. (like thoughts about Liz's beauty)

I heard about this on my way out of Hobby yesterday evening. I have been so busy with a project of late that I honestly didn't know she had died until much later in the day. Only a personal opinion but Liz Taylor may have been the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Her eyes were mesmerising. They were not blue, or gray or green. Her eyes looked as if they were violet. In truth, they looked like some of the modern contact lenses that you can buy now but imagine this kind of eye coloration 65 years ago (Keep in mind she first started acting 65 years ago at the age of 14). She was a beauty. 79 is relative young to die in this day and age but Liz Taylor did not have an easy life. I was sorry to hear of her death. I would not say that the world is a better place without Liz Taylor.

RIP Elizabeth Taylor.

Seeing who thought Brady Quinn was gonna be an All-Pro does not surprise me.:lmao2: Or seeing who thought the Cowboys should have traded high 2010 draft picks for a Raven OT who spent the year on IR does not surprise me.:lmao:

Very eloquent, ABQ. She was truly one of the really glamourous stars of her time. She raised a lot of research money for AIDS after Rock Hudson died. When you think that she was married and divorced before she was 19, you can see that she did struggle to deal with the limelight. She didn't play the glamour girl in her Oscar winning performances. She had the chops to be a real actor and she gave us some great movies. Her performance ijn the Taming of the Shrew was great. for those who don't know, she also performed a voice role on the Flintstones and was the voice for Lisa Simpson's first word and Maggie Simpson's first (and only) word.

RIP, Elizabeth Taylor. You are missed.
