I've been keeping up with this each week simply because I'm interested in seeing if he can do it. These past few games are making it less likely to happen as he's 610 yards behind Dickerson's 1,808 and needs to average 122 per game to make it. A couple of big games could change that, but I also would not expect to see Elliott play in the final game of the season if we keep winning at this pace unless we're battling Seattle for homefield advantage.

Thanks for keeping track. I also want him to get it. So the magic number is 122 each game. It's possible. I look for him to have a big game in Minny next week, no particular reason why, I just think he's due for a big game.

Man, 610 doesn't seem that much. I know it is with the amount of games left, just doesn't sound out of reach for him at all. A monster game would surely help, obviously. It would be great to see him get it.

I think he is going to come up a little short, don't think he can put up 130 a game.

I would love to see him get this record. And one big game of getting around 200 yards sure would help.
However, give me the keeping the legs more fresh deal. Both Dez and Zeke are at that range of where from now on every game is one game more than they ever played before.

20 to 24 touches a game is plenty for him right now. Don't change that up. It's working.
Zeke said last night he was still a little sore going into the game but felt pretty good. So he and Dak, and the team now needs that full week. And the 10 days before we play the Giants will help tremendously.

One big 160+ game changes everything. If I was Dickerson I would be worried about more than just a rookie record though. Imagine what Dak and Zeke could do in year 2 and 3.

Any team coming up have a poor record stopping the run?

I think it's gonna take a close game where we are having success running the ball, not a blowout against crappy run defense. Unless he rips off a couple 50+ yard erst on the same game, I think zeke is gonna average around 100-110 and 18-22 carries down the stretch.

I highly doubt he gets it. Tough running defenses coming up, "rookie wall," and he's not getting a ton of carries.

Still, I think he's on his way to an MVP if he wins the rushing title and adds a few more TDs.

With a coaching staff full of men he'd have set a new record.

Instead we get Lance Dunbar taking snaps on the most critical down in football.

he needs to break big runs of 50+ yards, so he could get 150 yards on less carries to save himself. 15 attempts/150 yard games are good than 25 attempts 125 yard games to save him for playoffs.

Gonna be tough and not important in the big plans for this season. Keeping him somewhat fresh and healthy for the playoffs is what important. But I would still like to see it.
I'm a big picture guy but as a cowboy fan a little part of me would love to add another cowboy RB to the record books
