OK-as you see below, Buffalo seems to be desperate for a DE.

With all the whining and ******** Ellis has done recently, do you think it's a POSSIBILITY that Jerry can deal Ellis to the Bills for a first day pick? Heck-if they're REALLY desperate, maybe we can push for their #1 pick, or even their #2 + Terrence McGee? As we all know, the Bills' FO is notorious for making bad personnel decisions.

Just opening it up for discussion, that's all.

Chris Brown, of BuffaloBills.com, reports Buffalo Bills DE Anthony Hargrove has reportedly failed another drug test, according to Sirius NFL Radio. He could be suspended for the entire 2008 season. Hargrove was suspended for the first four games of the 2007 season for violation of the league's substance abuse policy.

There is no way we get a day one pick or a day one pick plus a former pro bowl player like McGee for Ellis.

Ellis will be a cowboy next year, we go through this same crap with him all the time. He just started early this year.

No, he's under contract why would Dallas trade a guy that had 12.5 sacks last season after achilles surgery...

Ellis has zero trade value

lets move past this

At least no trade value garnering a pick that would make it worthwhile for the Cowboys to trade him.

I think Ellis will be a cowboys again next year. I think that Greg along with DeMarcus and Spencer could be a pretty deadly. The year before last proved that we needed more pass rushers. Ellis might be worried about his job and there are deffinately packages that I would want Spencer in there. I could see Greg Ellis becoming our " pass rush specialist"

I can't believe all of you want to trade a player with 12.5 sacks. I could care a less that he uses the media to get his word out. As long as he keeps performing on the field.

I'd probably want at least a first rounder or a high second rounder for Ellis. Sacks correlate to winning in the NFL and by giving up Ellis we're increasing the chance that we'll reduce our sack total, which means were increasing the chance we'll lose more games next year (which we probably will anyway, but we don't want to get below 10 wins).

Let me ask this -- what was the last guy who was 33 at the start of the season and coming off a major injury traded for?

Yes, Ellis had 12.5 sacks. Yes he did a good job. But many of his sacks come because he's got the best OLB in the league on the other side.

IF we trade Ellis, we'd be very lucky to get a low 4th rounder for him.

Ellis would never command more than a 4th or 5th round pick... even Matt Millen wouldn't be stupid enough to do the trades you propose...

So the question becomes, do you want to be rid of a double digit sack man who runs off at the mouth badly enough to accept just a 4th or 5th round pick in return?? Or do you say that's not enough, and let the guy run off at the mouth, and keep on sacking the quarterback for you??

Just opening it up for discussion, that's all... :D

I guess there is always a chance. I hate to trade a player with 12 sacks, but Ellis is 33 and is talking smack less than a freaking week after one of the worst losses of all time for the team.

Dam Ellis, the body is still warm. Cant your BS wait 1 freaking week.

I agree with the posters that think 12.5 sacks is hard to replace, after missing 2 games and after Major achilles surgery. I know that he is a little whiny (ok a lot) but when the lights come on he plays lights out. We need his dedication and his productivity. Without him on the other side, Dware is not nearly the force that he is when Ellis is in the game. No, no trade for my buck.

no team is going to give that much for Ellis. I would explore jumping up to Oakland or even Miami if the price is right. Ellis has very little value as does Williams.

The Bills aren't nearly close enough to make moves like that....the Browns might give us a mid-rounder....but not the Bills.

Ellis will retire a Cowboy and an under-appreciated one at that.

i'll never figure out why fans who think our current "tradable" players we don't seem to have our own need for will demand such high picks from other teams when we seem to hold no value for them at all.

i see tattoo on the cliff going BOSS BOSS!!! THE TRADE THE TRADE!!!
