Should be a good barometer for Doug Free to see how he does against a geared up, shunned former player.

Raiders were only 38% conversion on 3rd down last week.

Bengals fumbled 5 times, losing 3.

Gradkowski was only 50% completion.

Seems if you scheme the Raiders TE out of the picture, you should have a solid defensive day.

Our defense has been lights out - I'm unconcerned about them.

I am, however, concerned about the offense. Hopefully we can get out of the funk we've been in against Oakland, put up some gaudy numbers, and be prepared to take that mentality against our upcoming opponents.

We've got NYG, PHI, WAS, SD, and NO left. If we can win 3 of 5, we'll be 11-5. I think we can realistically win 4, beating our NFC East rivals and San Diego, and then New Orleans is a toss up - it really depends on which New Orleans defense shows up.

Yeah, I have to admit that the wily old vet -- and the motivated one -- against Free worries me a little.

I would run at Ellis, roll out away from him, and scheme so that he might have to cover a TE.

He plays DE not LB for Oakland

Raiders run a 4-3 with Ellis playing DE so I don't think we will see him in coverage. Looking at the injury report it is questionable at this point if we see Ellis at all

Ricky Brown LB Ankle Did Not Participate In Practice Out

Nick Miller WR Shin Did Not Participate In Practice Out

Javon Walker WR Hamstring Did Not Participate In Practice Out

Isaiah Ekejiuba LB Ankle Limited Participation in Practice Questionable

Greg Ellis DE Knee Limited Participation in Practice Questionable

Hiram Eugene S Shoulder Full Participation in Practice Probable

Run at him. Run at him. Run at him. Wear his old *** out and then run at him some more.

If we play against NO the way we've been playing these last few weeks, we'll get blown out... again. Even if their best defense doesn't show.

I don't think we'll see that kind of showing again.

I actually agree.

I believe the offense will sputter in the first few possessions Thursday and then get back to rolling as Garrett finally starts using both our RB's and WR's at the same time

If we play that way your right. If the Saints play like they did aginst the Rams and Carolina we could take them down just as well.

1. Don't overlook any team in the NFL.

2. You should be worried about their offense. Louis Murphy is having an alright rookie season he seems to make big plays whenever they can get it to him.

3. We can't stop TE's.

Roy Williams isn't our safety anymore. what Te's have we not stopped this season?

Rewatched the game...i think we are in trouble with Free. He will need alot of help, chipping, shifting the line...ect. I saw him get pushed back so bad he turned all the way around and has trouble keeping the edge clean. Because of all the help he will be getting, other lineman (Flozel, Davis) will have to go one on one more often. Ellis probably gets a sack or two in this game.

We can't ?

Winslow 5 for 30 1td

Boss 1 for 13

Rosario 3 for 58 1td

Graham 3 for 36

Ryan 2 for 27

Gonzalez 4 for 37

Carlson 3 for 36

Celek 3 for 39 1td

Lee 2 for 21

Davis 2 for 24

That is an average :

2.8 catches

32.1 yards

.3 tds

per game

but whatever.

I really believe this is the swing game for the season. 8-3 looks good at getting in playoffs. 7-4 along with Eagles and Giants (if both win) with the December schedule and recent history does not bode well.
