There's something in the water with any QB having ANYTHING to do with the Denver Broncos..............

Elways son Jack, a high-school standout, has quit football at ASU after just a red-shirt freshman season. Says he's "tired of football and want to try other things".

The football gods are coming back to haunt Elway. He was the first to pull an "Eli Manning" when he got drafted by the (former) Baltimore Colts and refused to play for them. His "taking his ball and going home" forced the Denver trade years ago.

It was quickly forgotten...................

Elway was a big supporter of Cutler. We all now know how that ended. He also endorsed highly the Jake Plummer deal. Uh, not exactly a "smashing" success. Now , his own kid, a progeny that many thought would be one of great promise has fizzled..................

Tough year for Elway................

I think you are reaching a bit here to bash Elway.

Hell, the Colts refused to play in Baltimore, I wonder why Elway was quickly forgotten.

It's his son. He should have had a sit down with him about making a commitment to something then quitting on it.

I don't think I was "bashing" Elway. It's simply an observation.

I mean, you have to admit that coincidental timing is there. Just thinking out loud.....................

i wouldnt call 1 season as a red shirt freshman exactly a commitment.....maybe his Dad pushed him to try it and he did and doesnt enjoy it....just because dear old Dad loves football doesnt mean the son has to......its his life its not like he quit in the middle of the season
