This is another team loss, including the coaches. But the more I think about this game the more I think that this one is 90% on Dak. The defense was shaky but only gave up 17 points. The Eagles secondary has been picked on by every team in the league just about. The problem was Dak. How many wide open receivers did he miss. There were 6 drops but only one was a decently thrown ball and that was the change-up he threw to Cooper for what should have been a first down. He was throwing passes over guys heads, behind them, and at their feet all day. I have no idea if Dak was hurt or not, but if he was throwing the ball more accurately this game would have been very different. Its seems each time he made a bad throw, it cost Dallas a 1st down. I have been a Dak supporter all year. Frankly, he played great for 10 games but them something happened. He has not been the same the last 5 games. He had a lot of time to throw today too. He had pockets, he was sacked twice because he held the ball too long. On sack he had Zeke open a yard short of the line to gain but chose to focus on covered receivers down field. This was not a good game for Dak.
Again, the defense had no real game plan. You know the Eagles use their TEs and yet Dallas left them open in the middle of the field all day. There was clearly some confusion in the secondary again, a staple of every Dallas loss.
Finally, On the 3rd down run option to Pollard where he fumbled. How many times has that play failed? They have tried that about 5 times I can remember and every time it goes for a loss. Today, it was a loss and a fumble. The Cowboys never fool anyone with those plays. They only work when the other team is undisciplined, which is why Wentz ran the same play successfully multiple times.
This team needs an overhaul of the entire coaching staff in the worst way.
