Emergency officials urge Bears fans, others to bundle up

Chicago emergency officials are urging residents to take precautions to keep warm Monday, with forecasts calling for gusty winds and temperatures dipping into the teens.

The city is unlikely to reach 30 degrees again until Friday, according to the National Weather Service, which also said snow could return as soon as late Tuesday.

Forecast for kickoff is 16 degrees, with northwest winds from 12-24 mph, according to OEMC.

Cowboys have hands full with Matt Forte
By Todd Archer | ESPNDallas.com

The Cowboys are allowing 126.7 yards per game on the ground, which is 27th in the NFL. They have allowed three teams to rush for more than 200 yards and in three of their past four games they have allowed a 100-yard rusher (Adrian Peterson, Mark Ingram and Andre Brown).

Forte is one of three backs with 900 yards rushing and 400 yards receiving, joining Jamaal Charles and LeSean McCoy. The Cowboys played against both already and limited Charles and McCoy to 55 yards rushing apiece.

If there is one factor that concerns me it is this. If Romo can preform we win. If not, Murray is going to have to have a solid game. I'm still not certain if Clutts will take the field. If he does he needs to pay attention and not get Romo killed with regard to blocking assignments. One positive note is that we are wining in the turnover department. This could be our plus factor.

Why would you worry about Romo performing well in the cold? He's a Wisconsin boy. He'll be fine.

I don't live near Chicago at all but I'm bundling up to keep warm. It's not even winter yet!

Throwing and catching balls in the cold weather is less than ideal. Passing games tend to suffer, which is where I think our strength is. Hopefully there wont be any sleet or snow flurries. As for our defensive line stopping the run, this is where I think our weakness is. If this becomes a ground game at the expense of a passing attack then I think it works in Chicago's favor.

Lets hope Marinelli has some insights into the Bears O that our D can exploit.
