Emergency QB?

Anyone know who the emergency QB was for the Cowboys against Oakland? I wonder if it was Dez Bryant. A couple years ago it was TE Phillips. I think last year (and maybe this year) it was WR Harris. But with Harris out for the game and Romo with the flu. Had Romo been too sick with the flu to play and if Orton would have got injured, who would have played QB? I know it is just a hypothetical and it didn't happen but it could have happened. Thankfully, it didn't.

If it were to happen, I think the team would need someone to step in and run a wildcat and I'm thinking Randle would be that guy.

Dez does have a good blend of power, wiggle and speed to be a good Wildcat QB. Seeing him throw the ball around pregame, he has a natural strong arm too. I'd let him take the reins.

It would be someone on offense and not a OL; therefore, it has to be a WR, RB or TE.

Beasley played QB in High School.

Yeah he can pass I'm afraid if we do put him there he'll take over as QB with a spread offense ok no I'm joking lol

I'd go with Dez.

Romo's flu would have had to been coma inducing for it to ever happen lol.

I'd put Dwayne Harris in.

No, to Dez and Witten. They can't throw to themselves!! We need those guys!!

It looks like Dez plays pretty much every position on the team lately. By the way, we may need to rethink his presence on the "hands" team after the last few games. We're lucky Janikowski didn't kick it right at him.

Might be kind of hard to put Harris in if he isn't even active due to a hamstring injury. I think we all expect Harris to be the emergency QB, but he wasn't active against Oakland. Who knows if he will be active against Chicago?

Exactly. Putting Dez at QB would be moronic. We'd need a "go up and get it" type WR out there if we ended up with an emergency QB in the game, and Dez is our only "Go up and get it" WR.
