CLEVELAND — Rapper Eminem, guitar legend Jimmy Page and Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones are among the presenters for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

The ceremony will be held April 4 at Public Auditorium in Cleveland.

Inductees were chosen by the 600 voters of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. Artists are eligible 25 years after their first recording is released.

Run-DMC will be inducted by Eminem, Jeff Beck will be inducted by Page, and Wood will induct Bobby Womack.

Metallica will be inducted by Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Little Anthony & the Imperials will be inducted by Smokey Robinson.

Two of Elvis Presley's musicians — drummer DJ Fontana and bassist Bill Black — will be inducted in the sidemen category by Max Weinberg and Garry Tallent. Spooner Oldham, the third honoree in the sidemen category, will be inducted by Paul Shaffer.

A presenter for inductee Wanda Jackson, who got a nod for the early influence category, hasn't been announced.

Oh ok. All musicians are pretty much eligible for the RNR Hall after 25 years in the biz. It's not just limited to rockers. Check out the inductee list...

This years list also includes Bobby Womack who's an old R&B guy. Aretha Franklin (Queen of Soul) was inducted back in 1987.

I thought he was asking why this was newsworthy.. I was pointing out the newsworthy points.

He was actually asking why Run DMC were eligible to which I followed up in my other post.

Eminem sucks now. he has the worst verse on that stupid crack a bottle song. Dre releases an album every 10 years give or take.

That song is terrible. Eminem is definitely past his prime. His voice sounds like crap and the way he rhymes sucks now. He used to be one of the best if not the best before he retired.

I thought he decided to get out because of "threats" from other artists. Are you sure about that? I thought that album did pretty well.

I'm pretty sure but not positive. the Eminem show did do well cause that was his last decent album.

He sounds like a cartoon character now. From what I remember he left on top. All of his albums did well, he just decided to call it quits because things were getting too heated. Now he's back, and he's lost a step.

Yeah I just did a little research. I think he got burned out. He entered rehab for dependence on "sleeping medication." All of his albums did well.
