rkell, i think this is the video you meant to post.

some great footage in there. boyd is a physical corner, we need to lock him up.

these camps provide great opportunity for the staff to evaluate players. i can't believe it took us this long to get on board with this idea.

does anybody know if suddes has hired a full staff yet?

yeah i wasn't referring to him. just in general.

i like the other kid we took from tcu too. not so sure about the marble falls receiver. he was in our backyard and we could have taken him anytime we wanted. if a guy like kd cannon comes knocking later i hope we have a spot for him.

I think after that picture we are backing off KD.

I think you are referring to garrett grey and he is pretty good, kinda hoping we hit one on him or oliver. Both are like 6' 6" physical possession WRs who are monsters blocking

that would be incredibly dumb to back off a kid solely bc of a picture. especially after looking at those 5* highlights. that kid is FAST. it's not impossible for a 17 yr old to have 2-3k. i bet it's not even his.

Under the wire, Texas also received a commitment from one of the top JCs in the country out of Trinity College late Sat.

John Thomas TE 6'5" 255 lbs. He was originally signed by LSU and is now making the jump from JUCO to D1A. 247 had him ranked as a top 200 player coming out of HS and the 7th ranked TE in the country in 2012.

D'Onta, Armanti's brother has just committed to Texas, according to reports from various unsubstantiated sources. I have not seen this confirmed by Rivals, 247 or any other big time reporting agency but if true, then it's pretty much a lock that Armanti will follow D'Onta.

From 247
Armanti has the Longhorns on top and they are clearly his leader. His father told me this morning that he expects his son to commit to Texas in the near future.

Shaggybevo said he committed but not official because Mack is on vacation.

I'm not sure how to feel about this year's class.

I feel like we filled up too fast and we got backed into a corner for a couple of our offers (punter, donte, Teuhema brother, one too many receivers).

There are still a lot of elite players out there and with a great season I feel like we could have flipped some of them.

All in all I am please with this year's recruiting. Next year is BIG. Lots of elite talent in 2015....we have to win so bama, lsu, etc stop coming in our state and taking our top guys (I think this is what's really frustrating about this year).

I think your going to see Texas start using SEC recruiting tactics. If they sign a bigger fish, then a smaller one is going to be released. After the last few years, it's hard to blame them. The last few years, Texas has had some big time recruits sign elsewhere at the last minute and the result has been a situation in which we are shorted at some very key positions. By the time next year rolls around, half of the WRs will be gone IMO. I think the new OC is trying to put pressure on the guys we currently have to get better and to learn how to run routes and catch the ball. Plenty of talent behind you so you have to progress or make room for somebody who will I guess.

Mack will never go that route.

Springs pulled the hate trick on us.

DB recruiting has been abysmal.
