Not sure if he will replace Irvin on countdown..but hes gonna be a studio analyst.

While Emmitt might give more insight there's something about Michael Irvin's flare that drew people to watch him on ESPN.

Darren Woodson would have been so much better. No disrespect to Emmitt. I won't miss Michael Irvin though. CBS needs him badly.

I hope he does not change. Emmitt is usually fairly blunt and not afraid to ruffle feathers. Unfortunately other former players who USED to be that way become just as much a bunch of meely mouthed hypocrits as the losers they have on there now.

Emmitt has worked extremely hard on his speaking skills.

Let's hope so, he used to sound just plain dumb. I wonder if he will dance?

Loved Woodson, but he's so shy and boring it's tough for me to watch.

I don't know if Emmitt was made for this type of work personally.

So how many broadcast analysts does that make now for the 90s Super Bowl teams?

-Jimmy Johnson
-Troy Aikman
-Daryl Johnston
-Michael Irvin
-Deion Sanders
-James Washington ("Out of Bounds" radio show on FOX Sports Radio)
-Darren Woodson (ESPN - occasional)
-Nate Newton (more regular guest on ESPN 103.3 LBOH show)
-Emmitt Smith

Well, now we have to listen to Emmitt?

At least he's not up in the "boof" during live games!

The fact that 5stars put it in quotes should have been your first clue.

Yea theres just something about Woodson that makes me not like him as a analyst. I'm not sure how Emmitt will do but hopefully he has improved a lot... Damn i'm gonna miss Mike!!!!!!!!!
