I heard Emmitt on NFL Radio on Sirius on my way home and he said he thinks Norv would be good with Garrett because they both know the same system and the offense has enough weapons like they did back in the Super Bowl days.

I think many of the players on that team are just very loyal to Norv and understand that he helped turn around a unit that was looking very bad under Shula. I respect these players view and while Norv would not be my 1st choice I could live with that and support it.

Of course they did, coaches need good players to win. A coach can only do so much and if the talent is not there he will not win. Myself I don't think the game passed Landry by I think we no longer had the talent level to compete at a high level and so Johnson gutted that team when he took over and suffered through 1-15 because he had little talent. Same for Belicheck when he was in Cleveland but looked like a coaching guru at a more talented NE team. I don't know what kind of job Norv would do but I clearly think we have the offensive talent on this team and I think Norv could make it even better. As I said Norv would not be my 1st choice but I'm not going to cast him off as a no talent HC because of what took place in Washington and Oakland.

Cleary... Emmitt see's that we have talent and some major weapons... I dont think he was biased in Norm's favor... I think he was refering to the X's and O's and what Garret and Turner could do together....

Whats been our biggest complaint???? Poor Scheme's right...

To much nostalgia going on here. We have no where near the team of the SB days. We are close to being real good. Now it's up to our GM to fill in just a few blanks.

I think getting Norv's mind on the Cowboys' staff would be an absolutely brilliant move.

Unfortunately for the Cowboys, the only way to do so is to name him head coach. And I don't think it's a wise choice in that capacity.

It really is unfortunate, because I think it'd be interesting to see what Norv and Garrett could do. But what becomes of the defense and the team as a whole?
