Empty calories

Dak is getting exposed now for his garbage numbers. Talk-shows are aimed to the populace and when they start bringing it up, the masses start seeing it.

He also pointed out that when the game was tied 14-14 Dak basically did nothing on 5 offensive drives:

8 of 15 53 Yards 1 Fumble 0 Points scored

Dak lit it up in the 1st and 4th quarters but did nothing in the 2nd and 3rd quarters......all while Cleveland ran up the score.

You've misunderstood Dak as he only produces when the stench of Garbage is in the air.....

I love the fact that Sharpe pointed out the same throw to Cooper I did when breaking down how this dude is just a one-read QB, who had hamstring his OC to quick step drop, play-action. The CB was stating him down the whole time, on a fourth and 2, just took a bad angle and Dak didn’t see him. Just like the dropped INT that the LB had right in his hands, which CeeDee Lamb caught on the deflection. Dak was stating down Lamb the whole way on play action.

I thought this thread was going to be about zeke feeding himself empty yards

The offense stalled because....
  • Fumble by Dak
  • Fumble by Zeke on the very next offensive play
  • Offensive penalty
Then add the unproductive passing and running plays. That happens with every team.

You can overcome the unproductive plays, but not when you combine those with the 3 turnover and penalty mistakes. Especially when the defense is unable to stop THEIR 3RD STRING RUNNING BACK.

NO ONE is blameless in this loss and trying to blame just one or a few people in what happened yesterday is just showing poster's agenda.

On O:
If you want to blame Dak, you should throw in Zeke too.
If you want to blame Zeke, you should blame Amari too.
If you want to blame the offensive skill position players, you should blame the OLine.
In your blaming of the OLine, why in the hell were we leaving UDFA OTs 1-on-1 against one of the best passrushers in the game during long developing passing plays? I sure hope the coaches didn't draw it up like that knowing they had a CLEAR disadvantage.

Then on D:
IF you want to blame Jaylon, you should also blame everyone in the front 7. 300+ yards, with half coming from a 3rd string RB and a WR? Terrible.

Again, this was a team losing effort. To say otherwise or just pinpoint on a single player is foolish at best.

I am stunned that after a 1-3 start that their is so many Dak defender's on here. I believe 6-11 or 6-12 in the last 18 games? I counted 5 passes yesterday that an NFL player should intercept. He had 3 turnovers last week.... 2 more yesterday... at key critical moments.

No Doubt the Defense sucks. But the Defense will actually get worse if you make Dak the highest paid player in the NFL.

ANY Qb would put up good numbers with Gallup, Cooper, Lamb, & Zeke. Especially the way the game is today. The NFL now is what Arena Football used to be. We can no longer go off of empty stats. Passing yards is more of an indication that your team is losing and throwing every down.

If Dallas wants to win they need to go back to the same formula they had in 2014 & 2016. Run the football. Keep your Defense rested and on the sidelines.

One reason why Dak put up such great numbers in the 4th yesterday was not just because Cleveland was playing softer coverage but also their Defense was completely gassed.

It is the same formula every game. The Bills game last year. The Bears game last year. Yesterday. The 2nd & 3rd quarters Dak and the Offense disappear.

Dak's problems as a QB are many. He gets rattled. He is inaccurate... even on the completions he does not lead the WR's. He does not read the field he misses wide open players. He is very limited in what plays you can run. He holds the ball too long.

The thing is Dallas will win at least 9 games this year. The NFC East is a complete joke. So they should go 6-0. Worst case they go 5-1. That puts them at 6-4. They win 3 of the other 6. Minnesota is no longer good. Arizona lost to the Lions yesterday. Dallas will win the division, go to the playoffs, host a WC game. Dak will put up great numbers stat wise. Does that mean Dallas is a good football team? Does that mean Dak is a good QB?

If all you are doing is giving your opinion based on stats than why even render an opinion? We all can see the same stats. What I see is a team game but yet the other team's QB keeps outplaying and managing a better game than Dak. Cousins, Trubisky, Allen, Mayfield, etc....

What is even more egregious is that Dallas on Offense is loaded. Even losing Jarwin & Collins. They still have about 6-7 total studs on Offense. The excuses people keep making for Dak because 1-2 players are out is a joke. This is football injuries happen EVERY year. Their will never be a year where everything is perfect. Go ahead and give Dak the richest contract in NFL history and see what parts you can surround him with? And oh by the way rebuild the entire Defense at the same time.

Lets just give Dak a top 3 O line. Top 3 WR corps. Top 3 RB. And a top 5 Defense. And a kicker that never misses. And than pay Dak more than anybody else. IF ANY Qb in the league had as much to work with as Dak they could do a lot more with it. We could have been playing Dalton and still be 1-3. We could play Dalton and still win the NFC East this year. What is Dak contributing as a difference maker?

Anyone that says Dallas is headed for a 5-11 season is showing off some anger or some serious lack of football IQ. Or they are still drinking?

Look at the last 2-3 seasons when the game is on the line. The game is at a critical moment. How many times has Dak come through and won the game?

Don't get me wrong Dak will probably break almost every Cowboy passing record this year. What I am saying is that those records do not mean a whole lot anymore. The entire league has changed to where it is offense driven, pass driven, scheme driven to pad QB stats. Even the rookies coming into the league can put up good stats. Who cares? Just win the game. If you cannot make a difference and be a winner than why should you receive more money than anybody in the history of the entire league?

dak is forced to pass more than he'd like due to our defense stinking up the joint. can't stop the run. and turnovers are killing us. game after game. hard to play a balanced game when you're always in the hole. our linebackers have stunk since the first game. yesterday, our secondary wasn't even a good high school secondary.

Again, not true. It was 20-17 against the Rams and Zeke only touched the ball twice on the last two series. We were up 14-7 yesterday when we decided to completely neglect Zeke. The fact is our passing offense is essential Dak throwing on his first read on play action, meaning using Zeke as a decoy or pass blocker.

we were up 14-7 for a nanosecond. i got up, got a drink, and when i returned, we were down 28-14. i went dove hunting the second half because i knew the game was lost.

Dak proceeded to not score at all on five drives...
