I could live within walking distance of a training camp--- and I would never go. I consider myself a pretty diehard fan of 51 years....but training camps don't impress me. I'll follow along with reports. Being there is a complete zero for me.

Maybe because it’s on a weekday and people are working? It will pick up by Friday. I’d love for it to stay empty, maybe the fans are having an actual culture change instead

The main reason the stands look so empty is because it’s just stretching and walk-throughs. Who wants to attend practice for that? More fans will show up once the hitting starts, but hopefully the crowds are even lower than they were last summer.

It’s the summer and a lot of people vacation here in California. The players do virtually nothing the first week of training camp these days. It’s a ramp up period. There would be more fans out there if they were doing a normal practice. It’s a waste of time going out there to watch them stand around and stretch.
