No one is mad that Kiffin was relived of his duties, but they do find it funny that he's still around with a different title (so do titles matter this year or not?? It keeps changing. Can someone post a list of the titles that matter and the ones that don't so I can keep track??)

As far as Callahan goes, again, it seems rather funny that the guy was demoted, given a different title (I think this one doesn't matter) and is seemingly held here against his will.

It will be even funnier if the entire staff is fired next offseason and we're coordinator shopping once again.

I would generally term the attitude around here regarding these moves as "lightly amused" rather than "outraged"

One things for sure is that kiffin used to be a a great coach. He knows talent. He just can't see how to change the d according to the nfl. Marinelli can. Look at the bears d. When urlacher was on his last leg and still dominated. Linehan will make dez even more deadly. Fix the d line and safety position and I'm ecstatic. I'm not sold on Wilcox or Heath. Dix or kid from Louisville could work immediately

I'm actually not opposed to keeping Kiff around. They brought in the architect of the defense they wanted to install it and one of his best students to coach the most important aspect of it. Once installed, promote the student who has had recent success running it and keep the architect to teach/coach the other coaches. I like the prospect of Marinelli lighting a fire under Carter.

I think Wilcox will be fine. He hasn't played the position long and he's young. I think it'll be good to draft another pure free safety and let them battle it out in TC. Not impressed with Heath at all, just don't see it. Maybe replaces McCray, for depth...maybe.

Kiffin is not done - he is still here. If you think Marinelli won't listen to Kiffin you are nuts.
Callahan is not done - he is still here. Linehan is even worse than Red when it comes to balance too.

Band-aids on a severed leg is what these changes are.

Is Linehan really an improvement? I thought BC had a pretty good impact on the o-line. That cannot be overlooked.
