That Steeler Game was clearly yet one more case of the league engineering a Pittsburg win.

Let me be clear: I didn't have a strong preference for who won.

But there were 3 outrageous calls in the last 4 minutes to assure a Steelers win.

This is getting old. I turned the TV off and may not watch anymore playoffs this season.

I guess 3 turnovers by the Ravens had nothing to do with it.

the outrageous call was the defensive holding on the nose tackle although the missed hold by Pitts TE on the same play was even worse. The hold on the punt return was a ref in the wrong position to make the call.

The Steelers are the worst at clock management. No way should there have been time left on the clock for Baltimore. Calling a time out with 2:07? Why? Throwing the ball instead of just running the clock out and kicking a field goal?
Funny thing is that moron Dan Dierdorf thought the time out was a smart call......How does he have a job?

It certainly didn't help, but it was 3 turnovers to 2. The refs definitely influenced the game, which isn't surprising with Triplete's crew.

Yeah. But Flacco did go brain-dead for nearly 20 minutes. Boldin dropped a sure TD and TJ dropped an easy 1st down on the last play. Baltimore basically self-destructed. The refs merely threw salt in the wound...

The timeout prevented a delay of game. They couldn't run the clock out with Baltimore having 3 timeouts.

When was the last time you saw Pitt get screwed on a game turning call?

Yeah I thought so.

since the steelers won i guess we have to wait to talk to their DB coach:D

Nah, of course they won't condsider that, it's much easier to spin a theory that way.

Just spend some time with Google and the name Rooney.

That family is entangled in mob activities bigtime.

Exactly. But you can name countless times the other way.

Oh, please. The innerwebs are the least reliable of all media when it comes to credibility.

I agree with the gist of your thread, but certainly not with this post.

They definitely got some home cookin calls today.

And what was with that wild haired OL jumping in the piles? Lordy.

He did that earlier in the game with no flag.

He should be ejected for the next game for that last one, .. flagrant and dirty.

He got abused earlier in that play and then came back and did that.

True. It was a little bit the refs and little bit the Ravens self-destructing. Flacco played scared in the second half. He's not a very confident quarterback. His balls didn't have much zip and they floated. You look at how Aaron Rodgers is throwing darts and how Flacco was lofting the ball to his receivers.

That game was basically over after the Ray Rice fumble. The Ravens just self-destructed after that.

But the calls didn't help. I don't know whether the Ravens would have been able to hold onto the lead anyway.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. You simply cannot let a team convert a 3 and 19. And a deep pass over the top at that. The Ravens will be kicking themselves all off season and probably beyond.

I saw him the first time. Unfortunately the refs turned a blind eye to him that time so I guess he figured what the hell? I'll do it again...

My bad.

Foolish me to think the mob has a huge interest (and involvement) in a sport where 50-100 billion dollars are wagered every year.
