Enjoy the WIN, But the Cowboys must get focused on the Commanders Quickly

And finally, if Jason Campbell gets the start, we know very little about him or how they will use him. How does this affect our game plan? Will the Deadskins get a spark similar to what Romo gave us last night?

gibbs made it all but certain in his press conference that Brunell would be the starter.

And even if campbell starts, I don't see him doing anything good. It will probably be like romo's first action. No one really does well in their first game action.

Last night was Romo's 1st start, and he done good !!!!

35-14.

Extreme is melting down over last nights game. Looks familiar to me in more ways then one.

I do believe we should be able to win the next two road games but I gotta tell ya, the Skinz are not going to just lay down for us. They never do. That team knows there season is done. A win against us would be like a saving grace for the season. They are not going to go easy and if we aren't ready to play, they will hand our collective arses to us.

This has the potential to be a huge ambush game for us.

No question this game is huge and historically we don't play well the week after Parcells gets all warm and fuzzy with the players. I really don't like seeing all of that after the 7th game of the season.

Gibbs will have the Skins ready to play just like they played against the Jags.
We are kidding ourselves if we think they are going to roll over for us and play dead.

Divison rival coming off a BYE week, we need to be READY, regardless of their record. We can't afford a divison loss dropping us to 1-3.

With the up and down season we have had...I take nothing for granted and that includes the Commanders.

The only thing that concerns me about the 'Skins is that it is the 'Skins and it's a division game. When it comes to the 'Boys and 'Skins, all bets are off. However, their team as a whole doesn't scare be one bit, on both sides of the ball.

That being said, I think BP will have them prepared.

I agree. Dallas can't afford to take any team lightly and I expect to get the skins best this coming Sunday. Gibbs is not going to let his team give up and at 2-5 I think the skins realize that their only chance to salvage the season is to get on a hot streak starting this weekend.

Wasn't the Carolina defense suppose to be mean and nasty too?
They are, they just were either neutralized or flat last night. For some reason Dallas always prevails in recent history when it is the regular season against Carolina but has managed to drop both playoff contests against the same club.

No one whose a fan of this up and down team should take any team for granted.

Have you seen the deadskins play lately? Their defense is mediocre at best.

yeah they really miss Lavar :p: :laugh2:

Agreed.

I'm actually more concerned about this game than I was about Carolina, if only because of the chance of a big letdown after a big win.

That's pretty much how I feel. Lucky for us we had the bye last week to get rested up and our defense will be at 100% for the first time all year. We get both our run stuffing DTs back, and both starting CBs will be in the lineup for the first time together all year.

We're a desperate team playing at home which gives us a slight situational advantage. The Cowboys are clearly a better football team right now though, and if you play like you did last night you can squeak out a win against us.

:)

If we play like we did last night, there'll be nothing squeaky about it.

You know we dominated the Commanders earlier in the year with bledsoe right?

And they only have 7 quarters of tape on Romo, in which he really hasn't shown anything.
We were one or two close plays from losing that game until the 4th quarter, not only that, but the Cowboys-Commanders games are always an "all-bets-are-off" type game. We're on the road against a hated division opponent - it's going to be a tough place to win.

You should never under estimate a divisional opponent, why are people saying it will be a easy game??? Divisional games are always tough and the Commanders aren't that bad folks.....

I was going to say, The Commanders defense has really not been that great this year.

We no longer have a QB that stand in the same spot and waits for Skins to sack him.

Its a whole new ball game. Yes teams will game plan against Romo. Romo is game planning too.... remember that!:D

This is the TEST of all test for Parcels and Romo, The Commanders have a mean and nasty Defense...

They had a mean and nasty defense last year.

footballoutsdirs.com ranks them 28 out of 32 teams, 31 out of 32 in pass defense, 17 out of 32 in rush defense. They give up 20 yards a game more than Carolina, and they're a sieve to the pass, evidently.
