Enough of the negativity, our offense had a bad game, it happens. Everyone is trying to make it seem like this team has hit rock bottom and we are out of the playoffs now. The last time I checked, each team plays 16 games. Now don't give me crap about how we have a tough remaining schedule and how the Giants have it easier. This is the NFL anyone can lose on any given week, thats why we play the games. As the old saying goes, "It ain't over until the fat lady sings," just take into consideration the Commander and Philly Monday nighters if you need reassurance. The Giants weren't supposed to lose to the Vikings and look how that turned out. The season is not over.

I will say this team is about where I expected it to be this year. I honesty believe we are a few aquisitions short of being contenders. Our OLine better show something these next four games or they will be victims to what I like to refer to as off season trash disposal.

If Henry doesn't come back and Glenn is gone, I'd say it is.

The only thing keeping us above average is our defense.

This is a true statement, IMO.

We have been in every game this year, and every loss has come down to the wire. I refuse to count this team out, especially when the Giants are the only team standing in our way to take the division. I honestly think they are pretty close to us as far as skill goes. This should be an interesting 4 weeks. BRING ON KC.

No doubt the loss of Glenn would hurt, especially if Henry can't make it on the field. But hey, this is Reeves second year in the system, lets see what he's got. You never know what can happen in todays NFL.

Thankfully-we're NOT the Skins.

We have alot of young talent on this team ready to ripe in 2-3 years-the foundation is slowly but surely getting there.

The Skins, OTOH, have way too many older players that are pretty much at or past their prime.

FWIW-let Gibbs and the Skins have the NFC East crown this year. This'll probably be the only time Gibbs and Snyder will be dancing on the rooftops.

It's great to be optimistic...really!

I think we make the wildcard, BUT without Flo and Henry it most likely ends there.

I knew Tucker would not be able to get the job done...and he's NOT. We are altering game plans BIG TIME because of him...we can not cut lose like we were for a few games...WITH FLO. As soon as he went down...the oline has gotten worse and worse as defenses know how to stop us...it's easy really. Stack the box, force us to throw and blitz like hell.

But the Gints came largely with 4/3 man rushes.

Tucker is OK-but our woes are beyond him. Didn't Oakland have some 7 sacks with Flo in there?

While our defense has made strides this year and has been making a valiant effort, even their efforts will not be enough to get us very far this year unless we see more of a contribution from the offense, and that starts with the play of our OL. If our OL doesn't pick it up soon, it will all be a moot point anyway.

Interesting.

How many older players past their prime, that are not expendable or replaceable ?

If anything, the Commanders as pitiful as they have been, have less or equal holes to fill for the upcoming season.

The Commanders need WR, and DL, OL.

The Cowboys need, OL, DB, and WR.

Looks about equal to me.

The Skins, however, don't have a #1 for next season.

Is anyone else getting that funny feeling TO will be a Skin next year?

Flo is much better then Tucker, but still average at LT....this is one of the reasons we MUST move Flo to the right next year and draft TOP LT....

Flo will be very good RT...always average at LT....no matter what still a MAJOR upgrade over Tucker...i've watched tons of time on Tucker this year....he can not do it. Go watch and you will know what I mean....

Why would A. Glenn be gone? Did I miss something? I know he got hurt, but he was right back out there.

We don't need help at DB.

When healthy (and they should be next year) we have Newman, Henry, Glen, and RW. Doesn't get much better than that.

Even Keith Davis is showing signs of coming around. Beriault waiting in the wings.

Solid backups in Reeves and Jones.

I think we need help. I am not certain that Berry-O is a FS. Time will tell but right now, he looks like a strong safety to me. Davis or anybody else isn't the answer for us at FS, IMO. I think we need one still.

Steve Smith is a #1 WR. Moss is about equal.

The Commanders need a #2 WR or even #3.

Thrash and Patten just simply cant get enough seperation.

TO and Gibbs ? Never.

Yup, if Henry and A. Glenn are down, that may just, as they say in California, be a wrap. Still a few acquisitions away for real contention or being a top feeder. And the loss of Flozell haunts us more than we ever possibly could have thought it would.

Agreed. Why does such "the sky is falling" nonsense talk surprise anyone here? One minute, we're going to the Super Bowl, the next we are the worst team in the NFL and Bill needs to be fired.

Whatever.

We win next week and all is well. Hey, you could be a Texans fan! Or we could be going through the Campo years. For cripe's sake relax people.

That is the understatement of the year, the offense has been horrible for a few weeks now and is getting worse every week not better.
